I hope this is the right area for it, saw conversation on tires so assuming so… however this isn't speculation.
Don't know if anyone noticed but spoilers now add a bit of traction, but also from what I can see doesn't take down speed. From what I can see any spoiler adds the same amount, unless it's a minute difference from the more expensive spoilers, possibly needs testing.
Does anyone reckon this will change times significantly for any cars or any classes where 2 cars were very close but one can have a spoiler and one can't.
This actually was one of the reasons that I decided to ditch my Gauntlet for the Blade, firstly for how well it did it Broughy's new video (thx) but also as it can have a spoiler it has that bump of traction, so surely gets even better when fully modded.

Ahh I didn't see as it was in another thread… you can delete this thread if you want, didn't realise the discussion was in there. Thx

I do have some throughts/doubts regarding this that I wanted to share with the community so I guess this topic is the right place to put them. So don't say your thread is 'not needed anymore' Broughy mentions in his video that spoilers give a percentual traction bonus, so the more traction a car has the greater the spoiler benefit is. Now, in many classes the top car was the one with the best traction so this just makes them have more margin over the rest of their repective classes. But on the supers, the Entity should get more benefit than the Zentorno. I tested both fully modded cars and the Zentorno actually increased it's difference with the Entity when I expected the opposite. Has anyone else tried and/or experienced something similar? Edit: typos

the entity has already more than enough traction by itself, you don't even know what to do with the extra given by the spoiler... the zentorno actually needed some more traction. Using broughy's words, the zentorno uses its traction better than the entity, i think.

Using broughy's words, the zentorno uses its traction better than the entity, i think. Basically this. The elegy is in a similar situation. Its still the fastest but since its traction was already so OP the gap between it and the massacro is smaller now. The thing with the entity and the elegy is they cant keep up on straights at all. The Zentorno and Massacro just completely dust both cars respectively. You would need to have absolutely perfect cornering in an Entity to come close to a Zentorno in lap time. In a race you can get away with using it if you want but the Zentorno>all atm and the elegy's gap got significantly smaller bc of the massacros accel and top speed also but its not enough to overtake the elegy.

Thanks both for the explanation - In the end it is all about getting the cars to the track and drive them, and not about stats

I just realized that the Adder has a spoiler (or at least the outline of one, just not functional). It has the same shaped spoiler as its real-life counterpart the Veyron. It would be very cool if rockstar could make it function like the convertible tops do and give the traction boost when it is enabled.

This is why I'm one of the few people who are pissed off that an adder doesn't have a spoiler
