I was quite hesitant to post my footage of the race because of a few things.
First, I didn't do any test recording prior to the race and there are a few technical problems : video is stuttering a lot (because of gtav.exe having high cpu priority usage in windows task manager, so my game was fine, just the recording stutters), and audio has 3 channels into one, in game + teamspeak + music (and the music is terrible, if I knew it was going to be in the video I would have taken more time to chose something more appropriate
thankfully it's quite low volume).
Second thing is that my race is just lame and the recording is not interesting! It was really a pain going through all this once again after the race xD I don't think you're going to get something useful out of this ovivo but here it is anyway.
Also I noted that a lot of the last discussions were revolving around racing incidents and I... had a few, let's say. Thanks for clarifying the rules ovivo. Hopefully with the latest patch from R* we can have better racing conditions on Banham, at least without stutter. All my apologies to
mrcleanup and
Xepy★̅ for the contacts we had, you'll see that from my point of view there was nothing too agressive, we have been very unlucky!

I'm not performing very well on the first 10 minutes of the race, losing positions because I'm losing grip and minor errors, but I'm keeping up with people in front of me.

My first error comes at 15:15 when I go too wide in the 3rd corner, then I completely choke at the end of the lap at 16:00, allowing cleanup to catch up and overtake.
From that point the race takes a bad turn. I ram Cleanup twice in a row because of the lag (2nd and 5th corners of the same lap, starting at 16:00).
I'm now 12th but still only 15/20 seconds behind everyone so I'm not giving up. I manage to overtake
rydacrystal at 17:55 (a bit dirty,you were on your right to go back to the racing line because you were still ahead of me even though I was catching up fast, sorry about that! thanks for letting me pass), I catch up with blah but things don't turn out well.
At 18:30 next lap, I'm right behind blah, and stutter+lag gets in the way again. You can see me slightly raging on the text chat while I'm waiting for everyone to pass the chicane, this is not often
Then it's back to my beloved last position and me choking all around the track, race is over for me. Don't watch it but just for fun here's the chokes I noted : choking at 18:55, then choke again at 19:34, 21:45, 22:16 miss CP, 23:15 same error in a row, 24:28, 24:50, 25:02, 27:50 (first choke after the pits at 27:00), 28:20, same choke than previous lap 29:38, 30:08 (I think pyros says something here
), 34:10... Ganjalo in all his glory
There's some fun in the race again for me as ovivoJR laps me at 34:50 and I'm between him and arken. Being last I'm able to take more risks and I'm a bit faster than ovivo, no point in going for the overtake though. I take advantage of ovivo announcing he's going to lap pezby at 37:35 to overtake pezby and then let arken pass me at 38:00, then take advantage of arken to overtake blah and ryda a bit after at 38:25... just to choke hard at 38:40 and lose it all again
So of course I got a lot to learn from this race, like
stay away from north americans! haha xD I proved I can put decent lap times with some training (actually that's not really something that I was doubting after all these hours playing this game
), but I'm an awful competitor and I just have a lot of trouble to actually race.
From the footage I could say that I have been very unlucky and it's quite true, but I think everyone have theses issues and you just have to deal with it, which I did poorly. I'm able to follow the racing line and to adapt to changes, but I have to work on my endurance skills as well as patience.
Also maybe having secured a 4th position in qualif made me feel a little more confident in myself than I usually am (that means not at all) and I think it played a role into this as well, you can see that from my two overtakes : my semi-overtake on arken at 07:00 is not clean at all and same goes for the one on Ryda at 17:55. I don't mention again the crashes with cleanup and blah, of course.
Sorry, no Bolingbroke background/roleplay thingy for this race, I can't think of something that fits and I already wrote quite a lot (sorry about that too xD). I think sharing my point of view will help me getting better as well, cause now I just can't do the same mistakes that you know! Congratz to Suzied the outsider for her awesome racing despite experiencing some race incidents too!
