Hi.
So, we have finally got a Teamspeak server up and running just fine, graciously hosted by LotheronPrime, and this is the official thread with all of the details.
While Teamspeak is mainly for us PC players, anyone in the crew is welcome to use it. If you do not know, TS3 is a voip service used by many crews/gangs/clans/groups of friends on PC to communicate/chat/whatever. You connect to a server and a server is separated in to rooms. TS3 also features text chat, so you do not need a mic to make use of it, but if you just want to text chat with someone, I recommend using Skype.
Basic info:
Teamspeak website: www.teamspeak3.com/
IP: nodoteamspeak.servegame.com
Password: nodo
How to use Teamspeak:
First, you need to have teamspeak installed on your PC. Go to the site above, download it, and follow all of it's instructions to install the TS3 app on your PC.
Then, click on connections in the TS3 app. Click connect. In the server address space, type the IP listed above, then type the password in the password space. Type your name in the name field and click connect. Please keep your name the same as ingame/on the forums or at least very similar to avoid confusion.
Now you should be in the lobby. From here you can select a channel and start chatting. There are several channels including ones for just chatting, ones for GTA V, and ones for other games. Please read the Teamspeak rules before connecting.
Teamspeak Rules:
1: Follow the Nonchalant Dominance Community Guide Lines
2: Do not sit in the lobby and talk. The Lobby channel is the default channel and only serves as a connector between joining the server and finding your channel, please connect to a channel shortly after joining.
3: Use the correct channel. To keep it somewhat organized, the server is split into several channels to meet every need we could have. Don't join a heist channel if you plan to race and don't join a lounge channel if you plan to play GTA V. If you go to do something else not covered by the channel you are in, please switch if you can remember to.
4: Do not go AFK for long periods of time. Since we do have limited spots at the moment, everyone would appreciate it if you just disconnected from the server if you are going to be away for 30+ min. By "away", I mean completely away from your PC. Sitting in a room and talking while not playing is perfectly acceptable.
Extra notes:
For now, we are limited to 32 people at once in the server, but if the need arises and we find ourselves frequently hitting that cap, we will look in to adding more slots.
Also, lets try to keep this for us NoDo guys only. Don't be bringing your friends in that we don't know/aren't interested in racing unless they wish to join what we are doing or you have express permission from myself or LotheronPrime, thanks.
As a reward for the PC crew Lieutenants and any Commissioner of NoDo, they will be granted their own, personal, locked channel to do whatever they wish with. If you are a commissioner of any other section of the crew and wish to use Teamspeak and be granted your own personal channel, please contact me.
Happy chatting! Hope you enjoy this new tool at our disposal. Again, thanks to LotheronPrime for hosting it!
