Just a little insight into our makeup - nationalities of drivers from most to least. I haven't got a nationality for Bad Loser though? Germany 4 Denmark 3 Australia 2 (+1 for Pezby, a reserve driver) Sweden 2 USA 2 Belgium, Estonia, France, Poland, Great Britain are all 1. i thought there is like 6 germans

There's lots of them, that's for sure. I'll say this before we start too, but as a kind of pre-race driver's briefing: The first turn should have precisely 0 incidents. Now, Blaine County N and my Blaine County NW track both have explosively short runs down to Turn 1; and the Cluck'in Bell track has a very long run down to the first turn in at the gas station. In both instances, there should be no point at which you hit the car in front as they're braking to turn in. Admittedly, the Comets will probably have to brake earlier than, say, the Banshees or Suranos. But you, as drivers, need to be aware of possible braking points and ensure you've left enough of a gap to avoid collisions. Causing a first lap incident should, in my view, add a third pitstop ("drive-through penalty") to the offending driver/s, to be served the next lap. Thoughts? ovivoJR Sugar_Free_Nos - given your experience I'd like to hear your thoughts on penalising first lap offenders.

This is more lmao than bladecruiser's tracks. I've got no clue what you should do, it's your event. I'm just here to attempt mid-drive speed boosting to the top. Should have tagged meetmypyro. He's got the most experience with first turn incidents in GTA due to the Daily Playlist.

i think it's hard to keep track who caused the incident, when going 3-5 cars wide into the first turn + then sorting it out mid-race. personally, instead of playing sherlock holmes and penalizing people, i'd just try to avoid it by a no overtake rule until 1st-2nd turn.

You're a genius, Pyro. You should host a daily playlist.

No overtaking till turn 2 sounds like a reasonable idea but the start of a race is the most challenging and thrilling part b/c you can gain lots of positions if you do it right or loose everything if you do it wrong. Taking this away from the race really hurts. I would rather add a vitual safety car if there is a first corner incident. This means if there is an incident at the first turn everybody would have to slow down till the field is close together and as soon as the cars pass the finish-line the race would be open again. Really don´t want to miss the experience of a standing start. But if you want to do a rolling start then thats what we will do.

I agree the start is thrilling, but I know both tracks had first corner incidents which are wholly avoidable. I was hit quite hard on Blaine South and it dropped me from third to dead last and compromised the rest of my race. These should be avoidable and I think let's just be quick on the call for safety car if something happens. If someone does a Romain Grosjean though, I think a drive through penalty is appropriate no?

=== Bravado Racing News ===The upcoming event has spurred a flurry of practice activity from the team in the last few days. Long time veteran and team leader Sugar_Free_Nos has been rumored to have instigated his rookie partner, bladecruiser, into pushing the limits of the racing team's mechanical engineers. The crowd at the latest round of testing was excited and cheered every time the bright blue and white Banshee screamed past the bleachers with the rev limiter pegged. One fan of the team gave this comment about the day's trials; "I haven't seen a car go this fast around this track since the F1 championship!" Since the Grotti F1 World Championship isn't scheduled to make a stop at this destination for another 3 weeks, it left our reporter wondering what the fan was talking about. Mechanics and pit personnel were kept sequestered away from the general populace of onlookers this time around, so managing to sneak a peak at the team's lap times was incredibly difficult. While no solid times were leaked, it was noted that after each hour long maintenance period between half hour racing stints, the laps seemed to be markedly quicker. One particular change seemed to have a drastic effect on the team's car, sending it speeding down a small straight it was previously having difficulty with. As the practice sessions came to a close, the rookie driver on the team came out for a Meet-and-Greet with the fans. His comments were similar to a previous statement by the team's primary driver given days before. "We are confident that our next showing at Cluck'N Bell will give our fans something to cheer about. Our mechanics have made some significant improvements to the vehicles and we're excited to put the changes to the test in a proper racing environment this weekend."

The cars screamed past eh? Did you upgrade to Coquette engines or something? //runs away I'm not at liberty to say exactly what the changes made were, but suffice to say, even a Jester(RC) or Feltzer would be hard pressed to keep up with a properly tuned and driven Banshee on this track. The earlier comment about orgies of boosts may be related to this.

So you're not only mid-driving (quintuple clutching as it's properly known) but you're curb boosting?
Just ensure you don't let Ovivo and Iceman past you.

=== Bravado Racing News ===
A controversial Bleet appeared shortly after the practice sessions were called to a close and the drivers disappeared for the evening. It was authored by the rookie driver's approved Bleeter profile.
What this means is anyone's guess. We are monitoring the Bleeter profiles of all of the racers now to see if anything else develops between now and the racing event this weekend.
