i like both tracks, scrapyard dash and rockford flyby. but when it comes to more serious endurance racing, i'd definitely go with rockford flyby.
even though the 'action' we get on scrapyard dash might sound like fun, i'm sure it will turn into chaos and frustration very quickly.

I don't really have much of a voice in this vote because I will be gone for this Sunday so I'd need a reserve driver for GT1.

As a GT3 driver, I think scrapyard will just be too damn chaotic and I bet there will be a ton of collisions when people get lapped. I like Scrapyard a lot, but I think changing the track is a good idea.

I already got taken out twice (directly and indirectly) by GT1 cars last race, I dont want to think about all the lapping that has to be done on scrapyard dash.. Even though I do really like the track, its not really suited for this kind of race.

I think Rockford Flyby will be a better track for this event. The close quarters of Scrapyard will not be friendly for passing. I can't expect GT3 to come to a complete stop so I can get by without incident, that wouldn't be fair to them.

Even though I do really like the track, its not really suited for this kind of race. the main issue is that rockford track is very difficult and got dodgy lines. You have a very instable rythm on my car (GT3) so getting lapped would be a real pain in the ass for your pace. No idea about scrapyard dash, i will try it tomorrow.

I love both tracks, but Scrapyard I feel will be more challenging. Besides it would suck to have 2 weeks of hot lapping it to go to waste.
I vote to keep Scrapyard, but I'm cool with either track.

While I do feel that Scrapyard Dash would provide an exciting race to not only watch but participate in, I don't think that it really fits into the MCEC properly in the same way that another longer track would. The MCEC has generally always been about the battles between the racers in your own class, with a bit of traffic issues thrown into the mix to spice it up.
Scrapyard Dash wouldn't provide that. What it would provide is a test of skill in overtaking properly and quickly, and being overtaken in such a manner that it doesn't ruin your own race. There wouldn't be much room to battle with people within your own class without suddenly coming up on a pair or a trio of others in a slower class that you suddenly also have to deal with. It will very quickly become the exact opposite of what the MCEC has provided - battles to overtake slower cars with a tiny bit of "inter class" battling where there's spots of "clean air". Rockford Flyby brings a longer track which lets the classes spread themselves out significantly more before having to deal with traffic issues, letting the focus of the race be on battling with your own classmates instead of dealing with traffic.
A comment that was said about Scrapyard Dash when a group of us were discussing it was "GT1 would be almost ready to lap GT3 by the time they were released from the starting grid". It's an exaggeration, sure, but it illustrates the issue of having no room to spread out and worry about your position in your class.
Scrapyard Dash would be fun, but for wholly different reasons than Rockford Flyby would be fun. I think SD would be suited to a Sprint style series instead of an Endurance style series, where it's still going to be chaotic and stressful but not quite so long and demanding.
TL;DR - I like both, but I can understand why it was changed.

I'm not happy with this decision. Scrapyard Dash is one of my favourite tracks in GTA V, period, and so was really looking forward to driving it for over 90 minutes, with all the tight action and lots of overtaking. Rockford Flyby is a fine track, but not a good choice for compacts in my opinion, too wide and open, not enough technicality for slow cars. I'm thinking about boycotting this decision and not racing this round, but at the same time I don't want to let my teammates down. Are you serious!? How can you put so much pressure onto Sugar_Free_Nos for making a decision that is completly right? If you are not satisfied with the organisation of this event (track choice) or anybody else that is in the competition you should really boycott this race b/c i don´t feel comfortable knowing people around me actually don´t want to race. The choice to take Scrapyard Dash into this event was a quick shot by Nos that he hadn´t overthought. After talking to some of the competitors and actually seeing the times for the classes on that specific track he had to make this decision. There is no need for a vote. This event is hosted by Sugar_Free_Nos and if he decides to change it then you are free to leave. Scrapyard is not suited for such an event. No matter how much you like. GT3 being lapped 15 times in one race is utterly stupid and will only lead to crashes, misunderstandings and confusion. I don´t want to hear the complaints about being knocked of the track or not being able to pass somebody if it would have been avoidable by changing the track to a better suited one. It is very frustrating how some of the community members cannot overcome their ego for the common good. Just accept the decision and start practicing the new track instead of giving Sugar_Free_Nos a hard time by saying you will boycott the race. What bullshit is that. Are we in Kindergarden or what?

This is completely true.. I wanted to say something similar, but without being so... I can't think of the word now, but I would have basically worded it nicely. I love scrapyard dash, as I said in my previous posts, but not any track can be on an endurance, despite how much you like it. I'm so thankful Flyby is winning because MCEC on Scrapyard with those times would be too tiresome and annoying. I do think it is childish though, that you said you would boycott the race... You can't have everything your way (And I'm talking to Vixtro and anyone who thought the same as him), and you need to deal with having tougher challenges instead of running away from them..

I am coming home today, will drive Rockford Flyby, and from what I've read that will be my choice, for obvious reasons.

Keep calm guys. It's still just a game and a track decision shouldn't be that emotional. I think we should pay more respect for Nos and all the effort he is putting in this.
PS: I will not vote on the track because I'm not in this race.
