IGN is reporting today that certain eSports leagues are going to begin drug testing competitors. Drug testing will appear at ESL, ESL One, and IEM league tournaments with the first tests beginning at the ESL One Cologne event this August. Apparently, certain groups have been known to use Adderall to keep focused and allegedly increase reaction times. A member, or members, of one team may have used Adderall during a recent competition where the they earned $250,000. The league announced that the competitor would not be punished "if we are not 100 percent sure he is guilty." The whole article can be found here: www.ign.com/articles/2015/07/23/drug-tests-mandated-by-pro-gaming-leagueThe whole thing sounds like an article from The Onion or some other satirical news group, but at the same time I can understand the concern of cheating and the need for a level playing field. It will be interesting to see the results and how it all affects major league gaming at large. What are your thoughts?

I don't mind it, I'm all for leveling the playing field. I can't really say that I'm interested in eSports anyway though.

Yeah I don't follow esports either but it's rising in popularity and this is a pretty interesting move.

Should've been there right from the start.
