Ok so basically... the Comet in S1 was driven by the wonderful CHILLI and myself. I was affected by lag, and only managed to score points in 50% of races. Chilli, because he is at one with the game code, figured he could downgrade his engine and that way be at full throttle for longer on the lap. As such, the Season 1 Comet was not at its full potential. Then, for Season 2, Chilli said he didn't want to drive the Comet any longer. Now, I'm running a business here, and if my #1 driver says he no longer wants to drive my car I need to find a replacement. I did; I found the best driver on the market, Oh_Darn. Oh_Darn is the motherfucking man and drove the Comet like a demon. You can tell by virtue of the fact that Pfister Racing Team won the double title this season - driver's and constructors. In Season 1, Ovivo and another German machine named fab.ICEMAN aka Fabricman teamed up as factory Benefactor drivers driving the Surano. After the first two races, Ovivo came to me and said "hey, we're too powerful, should we ban the car or downgrade?" Respecting this immensely we suggested downgrading and the Surano was set to L3 trans/engine. Ovivo went on to win the Season 1 Driver's title, and with Iceman coming second they won the Constructors too. Cut to now. Ovivo drove a solid season in a Carbo, but noticed that the Comet is also too fast. The approach is, therefore, to try and have the Comet and Surano (and possibly Schafter V12 and Obey 9F) downgraded enough that they're roughly on pace with the Banshee, Coquette and Carbonizzare. TL;DR - Surano and Comet too OP, will be tested to find appropriate downgrades to be on par with Carbanshette. |

Yeah, I think I'll just ignore requests for him to adopt the V12 Schafter, Surano, Comet or 9F StoryVS. I'll let you pick instead. |

We did some testing yesterday on Union Grain and some other tracks: Union Grain turned out like this (biased towards the Banshee (MDSB) on other tracks the Comet was faster than the V12): Banshee: 02:02.9xx V12: 02:02.1xx Comet: 02:03.7xx Carbo: 02:03.5xx Coquette: 02:04.7xx Parson´s Loop: Banshee: 01:41.7xx Verlierer: 01:41.6xx Carbo: 01:42.2xx V12: 01:40.5xx Comet: 01:39.5xx Coquette: 01:42.9xx I think the Verlierer/Banshee/Carbo are the three most balanced cars and therefore should be considered by the top drivers (claiming the Verlierer for Scuderia Grotti). The Comet/Surano are also somewhat balanced. But with the Comet being downgraded to L3/L2 the Surano should go to L3/L2 too. The V12 should be given to drivers that are unlikely to be able to uses the car to its full potential or needs a downgrade to L2/L4. The car is just to powerfull on the straights (more OP than Comet over curbs) but lacks in the turning ablitly cause of its heavy weight. The Coquette can shine on some tracks but usually has a slight power disadvantage. Cannot judge the 9F. But if you ask me it should not join the competition because it would be the only AWD. |

I'm still not sure if it's a good idea taking the v12 in this event. My main concern is its topspeed/straight line speed, it seems on paar with the Massacro's or even higher. My other concern is the look, it looks like a heavy tuned sedan, not like a touring car. If you decide to let ppl take it endersai we should test it out well and think about engine downgrade because I think we would have the same issue we had S1 with the Surano. |

So don't say that you don't have the pace of the topdrivers. He is on the pace of the top guys. I'm guessing he is only a bit slower because of his disadvantages like stuttering, using a keyboard instead of the gamepad and also using wlan (wifi) what can be a reason for his lagging. But even with that, I do not understand why ender wanted only simon not to race in "the best" cars. While he let doom picking the surano |

Simon is more into lap times than the racing!
Love the purity of the drive more Simon. Be a racer not a hotlapper. Hotlappers are terrible!
