Okay people. The track has now definitely been decided after vote. We're gonna use the "8-Track Double Derby" ( rsg.ms/541b310 ) Just in case you're reading this before the OP, don't let the name of the track fool you! Please read the OP  Now, next on the agenda: Car to use! I've put up another poll for you to vote on. The Bifta or the Dominator. 2 totally different cars, but both can be fun. Dominator is a bit faster, but also harder to control and bigger. Bifta is a bit slower, but easier to control and it's small size might make it easier to squeeze through some tight gaps. In terms of laptimes, Capt. Inconsistent (me) did around 1.25's in the Bifta, and around 1.20's in the Dominator. But imo laptimes aren't all that important, as we'll all be driving the same vehicle (no classes) And there will be some extra braking for the X-over, and it won't always be possible to take the ideal line because of traffic. Please don't forget to vote (to keep the poll fair, if you're not gonna participate, but do want to vote, please explain your motivation in this thread so we (the participants) can take it into account. I vote for the dominator because it would be harder to drive it as you said, harder=funny for me  |

Because of the track being decided now, I've made a little update to the rules: On the parts of the track besides the cross-over, normal NoDo Racing Guidelines apply, but there will be no blue flag. This also means, if you take somebody out on one of the 4 points where there's a split/merge between the long and short loops, you will have to wait for the other, even when it's not for a position. So watch out for eachother, and pick your lines carefully. |

You may need a few Marshalls with mic to tell drivers who needs to wait or pit when there are crashes.

But I also really want to participate in this myself  So if nobody wants to, we'll just have to do without. The rules aren't that complicated, nor is the track, so even without a marshall I think we'll be allright. |

The goal of this event is to cause as little crashes as possible. Knowing the community there will be collisions on the crossover. Bit I'd like to emphasize again this is not ment to become a demo-derby/crashfest, but a serious race. The fact there's a crossover is the only reason it got put in the 'Fun' section instead of the regular events. And by the looks of it it's gonna be Dominators, which I suck at |
