I tried playing GTA V like this once. Lowest possible settings to get highest possible framerates.
It kindof ruined the game for me. So I maxed out the reflections and set the rest back to High and settled for 80-100fps. Migh even max everything out to see the fps I get then.

So a few of us were chatting a bit ago, and I mentioned that I'm running the game on my old "race" settings files given the discussion about FPS and car performance happening in other parts of the forum, and some screenshots of how bad the game looks were requested. So here goes.   How do you get the game to look like that? Is there a file somewhere? |

You have to go in and edit the config file for the game, as most of the settings I changed to get that kind of performance have no option in the menus ingame. I don't recommend it unless your game runs like complete ass, though, as it really does look terrible when you're playing it like that. |

But I'm terrible so I just don't bother going all tryhard. =p Thus I get 45 fps average and have all of my settings cranked to max. |

Jesus, this actually looks like one of those cheap knock off grand theft auto games on the app store lol ( Context). Can understand why you'd want to do this though. |

My old craptop probably couldn't run a game that looks that bad at anything above 2 fps. At least my current one is able enough to run stably, AND CAN RUN YT VIDEOS AT ABOVE 360P WITHOUT BEING SLOWED BY THE HARDWARE!

I actually had to do this for one testing series I am doing now, and result was ridiculous.  Having said that from my limited testing while there is clearly difference between 30fps and 60fps times even in straights. However I get the feeling that the difference in lap time solely coming from the fact that it's 30/60fps is lot smaller than people imagine, from early data. Hopefully I can release some results after I test more. |

Looks like last gen but with the resolution of a Nintendo 64, haha. Excited to see the results of your testing though, always bothered me how a single drop in frames can set you back a position in races at times.

It looks like some kind of horrible experiment on the SNES more like xD Or like the last gen versions with a new technology, allowing negative anti-aliasing... |
