My apologies for jumping the re-entry timer on my first pit(looking at the lap timer, not the overall timer), especially to Ganjalo and @novesori who would have been right beside me if i had come out at the right time. I also waited 10 seconds too much in my first pit, same reason. Lost everything I had on Darn  |

Grotti F1 2016 Mirrors Edge - Pitstop-Gate
Unfortunately there has been another mistake during the pits on Mirrors Edge. The following car is under investigation for leaving the pits early: _ShediM_ - second pitstop - leaving the pits 7 seconds early The above mentioned situations will be evaluated by independant race marshalls. Until further notice the posted result of Mirrors Edge is inofficial.

2016 Grotti F1 Mirrors Edge - Pitstop-Gate DecisionAfter consultation of two independant race marshalls ( Sugar_Free_Nos and arken ) and review of all available footage we have come to the following unanimous decision: Driver #13 _ShediM_ will receive a 20sec addition to overall racetime due to leaving the pits early: - Announced time to leave: 55:07, Actual time of leaving: 55:00
- New Racetime: 71:09.95 + 20s = 71:29.95
The new racetime of 71:29.95 positions driver #13 in 2nd position on the final table behind driver #1 ovivoJR with a overall racetime of 71:29.87. The points in the drivers and constructors championship have been adjusted accordingly.
Proof of incident:
Detailed information on the decision: The rules about leaving the pits early say that the driver at fault has to perform a stop&go penalty during the race. If he is not perfroming this stop&go penatly he will receive an addition to the overall racetime as follows:
- Leaving pits <5sec early = 5sec stop&go = 10sec addition to overall racetime
- Leaving pits >5sec early = 10sec stop&go = 20sec addition to overall racetime
- Leaving pits >10sec early = 20sec stop&go = 30sec addition to overall racetime
A similar situation occured in the first race on Yellow Jack where @novesori left the pits 9.5s early. He received a 20s addition to overall laptime.
Official result of Mirrors Edge:
I know this is a hard decision that even goes towards an advantage for myself. That is why I asked Nos and arken to give me their opinion about it. We came to the conclusion that we have to follow the rules and treat every driver the same.
Unfortunately this time the winner of the race is affected. But to show consistency in the rules we have to treat him the same as everybody else. I personally looked at the exact finish time of _ShediM_ and myself to make sure he didn´t finish more that 20sec infront of me.
Thanks to _ShediM_ for being honest about the wrong pitstop. I respect such honesty a lot!
