ovivoJR I should get a -20s because I left the pits like 6 seconds too late, because I looked at laptime and not overall time

I don't agree with that decision at all, I'm punished for being honest with everyone pretty much. It is fair towards @novesori and for the credibility of the event because he got the same penalty for leaving the pit early. I do respect you for being honest about it though. In the end you get punished for leaving the pit early, not for being honest.

I focussed on announcing the correct exit times, not making a mistake like adding only 10 or even 30 seconds, also being able to repeat the time when asked. Noting down who made his pit stop can be outsourced to checking the race audio footage after the race. That's 20 minutes of extra work, but it works, if you stick to saying each name before the exit time. I assumed every driver could need help, me doing the math for him in the heated moment. Driving off at an announced time should not be the problem, unless you did not understand what I said.
Yes, some try to make up something by stopping third in row to start the 20 second timer, so they already made up 2 car length of driving distance which they are allowed to move during their 20 secs stop, when the cars in front already left. Some then went so far on the track before launching so that maybe one tyre was still in the pits, but we haven't announced a fixed line or something. I also had the problem that I was standing on top of that building there, so I couldn't really see what happened directly under me.
As I said I couldn't check for correct exit times, when I had to focus on announcing 3-4 more exit times of the next cars in between. An idea would be to position the pit watcher down at the imaginary line which drivers are not allowed to pass until they leave the pit. And then use the pointing finger gesture as kind of a lollipop man. The pit watcher would then focus more on the exit times and may miss some announcements if multiple cars enter the pit simultaneously.
Having pit watcher footage is of course also helpful, but that wasn't possible in 3 minutes of preparation time.

You are just a help for drivers. They still have to check their time by themselves. If they do a mistake they are to blame not you. Lollipop man would be to much confusion if you ask me. We would also need a second pitwatcher because there is no way one person can handle all that at once.

I can be the second pit watcher in theory. Usually there's little chance for a SC call once the pack is spread out. But even then I could still come out.

Can't we just make people rely on themselves when it comes to going out of the pit? If they cannot follow a simple instruction then its their own fault and they should be punished. And if the pit watcher screws up, the case goes up for review in the main thread.

Pitting isn't difficult at all. I have more problems with driving, finishing and having a good working game.

Right after that doompenguin was shown the black flag for using an illegal fuel supplement at the second race. He received a 10 day testing ban until the next race on Monaco. Second race? Black Flag? What happened?
