Madderose Still claiming it has nothing to do with FPS? The boost I had was not FPS related. At least not in this fashion nor solely. It's not like from start to finish the car was a rocket like in the video. Like I said before, I capped my FPS to 100 since the qualifying. I'm convinced there is an issue from respawning too. Maybe FPS related when respawning. I don't know for sure!

So Madders DC was because his GPU couldn't handle 500fps confirmed?

Madderose Still claiming it has nothing to do with FPS? I can now blame half of my slowness on this.

Remember kids, winners never do FPS boosts. In fact tryharding like that can backfire and cause your game to crash, Wouldn't that be awful in a big race? If you have questions about the effects of FPS boosting see your local Ch1ll1.

I thought we were meant to cap our fps at 60?

Yeah, the difference is huge when you're 120 fps up. He gained 6 seconds from 140 to flunctuating 180. That's pretty crazy.

I am for a rule that we have to record our gameplay and have RivaTuner or another program enabled, like I do all the time, where you can see the FPS. With this you, ovivoJR, can always look at other gameplays in case you suspect something wrong.

But it actually shouldn't be necessary. We should be able to trust everyone if we agree to 60fps.

The laptimes will show anyway who's running with higher fps. Top racers are within few tenths from each other. They have almost identical lines so it shouldn't be that difficult to measure.

And as doompenguin said, we had a gentleman's agreement at the start of the season that everyone would cap their fps to 60. I'm a bit disappionted that people didn't do that.

The fps thing starts to show up after you exceed 100 fps (most notably 120). If your fps is stable, doesn't go up and down from time to time (this is the time when you get those crazy boosts) you should be good, at least that's what comes out of the testing.
