I heard in a recent sonny evans video that the max speed limit set on GTA-Online is 150 mph due to rendering issues. can enyone confirm this?

Well Id say mister sonny evans doesnt know what hes talking about. An adder goes 160 and a jet can go way faster than that so.. yeah. Definitely not 150 but Im sure rendering issues are why the cars are slower online vs singleplayer.

The word from different forums is, the top speed in Free Mode is capped at about 150, but it's possible record a higher speed if using a glitch or going downhill.
In the race modes, the top speed isn't capped

Cars on single player are faster than when playing online? First time I hear this, is it actually confirmed or proven?

Cars on single player are faster than when playing online? First time I hear this, is it actually confirmed or proven? I think this is true as in Single Player I have done 200 mph in a Z-Type legit.

It might be 150, and the extra speed we see in our stats in from races when slipstream was on. I believe it, because the cars in real life our Super cars are modeled after obviously go a lot faster than 150 mph.
Also, I have a feeling the acceleration for the Super cars is nerfed in comparison to real life counterparts. Again, a rendering issue, likely.
We all can see how top speed affects the game's ability to render the enviroment, from becoming a pale, gray flat landscape, to something less extreme, like no cars or pedestrians spawning. There is also the example of buying a car, and calling your mechanic for one. The game has to render the car when you request it, and that takes time. When you call your mechanic, I'm sure we've all noticed it always spawns behind your camera view.

Apparently I've been at 320mph in my Feltzer and had 0 crashes. I'm a god. That's even faster than the already insane speed of 265mph in the single player Adder:
