Rodgerzzz That's a very good point! I can bring the time of this forward by an hour. UPDATE: All races will be held at 7pm BST which is 6pm GMT. Sorry about the change

6pm? Oh wow.. That's quite early, might not be able to participate because I eat at 6pm. I'll look at it though.
How do you put stickybombs at the start too? It looks good and sounds very fun, I'm just curious how you will place them

It has to be a GTA race but I'm pretty sure most of these don't have a GTA version What I would have to do instead is specify in the skype chat a specific time on the in game timer when we start racing. That's probably a better way of doing it anyway to be honest. For example: I'd say in the skype chat after we've organised the grid, "Race starts at 1:30" and everyone goes when the timer hits that time.

You can still set the race type to GTA even if the track doesn't have GTA race boosts and rockets and other stupid crap. Just remember to set it before you invite everyone otherwise it won't let you change it!
If we're doing the grid start as well, pun you've seen for yourself the Turismos ineptitude after standing still for a period of time (ie. the race ruining scraping) so it's probably best that all Turismo drivers move there back and forth in their grid spot until about 10 seconds from the start. I'm guessing that'll be alright with you pundip, otherwise it's just gonna ruin it for everyone.

Yes that's true about the Turismo. Still undecided about qualifying yet though so it may not matter in the end. I'll add a poll to the OP in the next few days to get a final decision.

I'll leave this one. Sorry. I'd love to be a part of it but there's too many events to keep a track on.

I just noticed this thread and saw that Rodg is going to compete as well... Is there room for another Apex driver on the grid? As the host of the Formula One Championship at Apex Stalkers I'd love to participate in a similar event, but with a different group of competitors. If I may participate, I'd like to use the Turismo!

On the tyre discussion I think we should bar the use of off roads for this event. Any other tyre would be fine as long as they are road tyres Not to put turismos at a disadvantage, but I think the grid should have zentorno's in front based on their times and then turismos based on their time. So as not to cause am accident on the straight or first corner when the zentorno's try to pass because they are so much faster. I'm hosting the Formula One Championship over at the Apex Stalkers (pundip is participating in that championship as well) and we're driving Turismos, Zentornos, Entitys and Cheetahs. After Qualifying those cars were all over the grid, but at the race starts we've never experienced any trouble with the Zentornos outperforming the Turismos. The Zentornos do have better acceleration so we've often seen some of the Zentornos gaining positions at the start, but if you watch your surroundings and are careful through the first corner, you won't have any trouble. It wouldn't be fair for a Turismo driver to start in 7th position as well, if he put in a qualifying lap faster than anyone else. If pundip has any trouble with hosting I might be able to help him out, for example with Qualifying (I think you guys don't usually qualify for events?) or setting up the grid for the race start. I don't want to be a douchebag from another crew that comes in here and tells everyone how it should be done (my apologies if I sound that way), just willing to help out if things are unclear!

which car would you like LancerEvoWRC? There is space for two more of each. Yes th Touring cars didn't quite fill up as much as I'd wanted but hopefully this being an event with Supers I'm hoping we can have a full grid at least once

UPDATE: I have added a poll to the OP. A simple yes or now answer for a qualifying session before the races start to sort grid order. Qualifying: 4 laps on non-contact racing. 1st lap is a warmup followed by 2 hotlaps and a final cool down lap (the longer tracks like North Loop I will have to think of a quicker solution). No one is allowed to cross the line on the final lap until I say so in the skype chat. This is to ensure there are no DNFs and everyone gets a valid hotlap. Race start: Once qualifying is over we will start the race but no one moves after the countdown. I will read out the grid order and help to arrange everyone into gird positions. I will announce in the skype chat a time on the race clock that the race will start. Once we hit that time, it's lights off and the race will begin.
I anticipate it will take roughly 20/25 minutes per race including qualifying and arranging the grid, provided participants are online promptly and there are no setbacks. Now that I have outlined how it would work could you please cast your votes in the poll which closes on Thursday at 6pm.
Tonight I will be retesting the tracks in order to determine the number of laps required for a 15 minute race. I will post my results when I'm finished, so everyone can get to practicing.

UPDATE:Lap numbers have now been finalised with the help of LancerEvoWRC and Lupacia💕 . Time to get practicing guys, Friday isn't far off now! p.s. Could someone (hopefully a few of you) be so kind and try out race number 3, Vespucci Grand Prix for me? During this second phase of testing tonight I realised one of the turns (you'll know it when you see it) can be a bit of a bitch and might cause a lot of problems If there is enough feedback, both positive and/or negative, I will take the necessary steps to either fix the corner or find a replacement track.

If it is the track I am thinking of, then you are correct. It will cause a lot of trouble.
