No Cloud was, and I'd meant to include it in the list after a few people asked about it over Young Drivers. Someone noted it was in the S3 allowed, and I got some PMs making a case for it. I'd intended it to be on the list here, but didn't then DRN mentioned it yesterday on TS. It was actually already safely downgraded in S3 but I got DRNWHY and GRMPLS to test it again to be sure. Downgrades are on Page 1. Care to share the testing results? As in, laptimes 2:17.8 - 2:18 on the yarn 1:46.9 - 1:47 on SSGP 1:10 on del perro 1:27.5 - 1:28 on Blaine NW if i remember correctly.

Really not happy to see the downgrades of the surano, right after I locked my choice. Benimi had tested that upgrades, you know that the car is way too slow now lol. You should have prevent me yesterday when we talked about it, I wouldn't pick the surano if I knew it's gonna have a big downgrade, I'm pretty sure it was volontary, really not cool. stop bitching ;P. your choice isn't locked until the testing at the start of June

I'm racing with a northener but he's not a yank.
We're using most of the budget that was originally going into the car to correct his accent to a more intimidating American one, so he'll be pulling a mid for the first few races and be in a production street vehicle.

The Surano is objectively stronger than any car in the pack at 3/3.
That is, it has no weakness.
On some tracks, the lack of top speed hurts the Banshee. On others, it shines.
On some tracks, the lack of curb bumps hurts the downgraded Cake Comet. On others, it shines.
The 9F was, as you said, really strong at Zan Cudochamps because it's an obvious 9F track. But put it on the Yarn and it's going to be frustratingly slow.
The Verlierer and the Carbonazi both have modest understeer with some snap oversteer, but their power is really hard to counter.
etc etc
The only car where you couldn't say it was "weak" on a track was a 3/3 Surano. Sure, it wasn't always the strongest on a track - Banshees are always going to have strength at Union Grain 3 Way because of Mid Drive Scrub Boost - but instead of having tracks it was strong at, and tracks it was weak at it had tracks it was strong at, and tracks it was really strong at.
The downgrade was hinted at in the OP and after considering the options 2/4 seemed like a fair compromise. On some tracks, the Surano will probably be stronger than it was before but critically on others it will be weaker. Balance is achieved across all cars.
And as I said to you, we have a lot of good drivers who could fight for wins here. I don't want one to get those wins because their car was just better.
Also having seen Benimi's results I'm unsure how it's "way too slow" now. It's on pace.

You can still change the car you will use story. /e: Woops someone already responded to this my bad. Anyways wasn't the surano 3/3 I know that 2/4 is probably slightly worse but still. Im not sure how linear the downgrades on the surano are does anyone know how much this will impact the car?

Guys can I also say, well done on bullshit drama by page 4. So here's the thing - decisions are made here either by me as host, or if I think they're beyond me, by consultation with a strategy group who are generally drivers in competition with one another. That way, I know that I can not only trust their common sense but that their decisions won't favour one person over another. Not that being accused of pandering to Oh_Darn, who is my fucking former team-mate, isn't fun but... So, when we make a decision rest assured it's been considered and is fair. You not liking it, the lack of transparency, or not being what you would have done is not the same as it not being fair. Also, when I log in, especially if it's been overnight for me (so, daytime for Europe), I log in to upwards of 20 alerts and PMs. If I miss something, I'll get to it when I get time. It's just that something else might need responding first and in the case of Dark Alex's question I missed it but it seemed like something people could answer without rolling their eyes and saying "oh that's just Ender's way". We had a really good young driver's test, so people are being dickheads now I don't know. I'd prefer it if you can't say something positive or constructive you shut up entirely. I don't want to have to make a post like this again, and I will kick people from SATCC if it starts going Season 3 again.

st0cking , I've done some testing with @grodo , Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977) and cloudmcshort . On 3-3 we came to the following times: Parsons - 1:41.2 SSGP - 1:45.4 Del Perro - 1:10.9 Exit 4a - 1:40.7 Spa - 2:09.4 Yarn - 2.18.2 Above are the testing results I've sent so endersai . There is probably room for improvement and if the car turns out to be too strong, I will have no problem moving down and engine or transmission level. It is something I will further test as well as in the Pre-season test. Also did some "semi-serious" testing in battles with lewjen (smithyonetwelve). On one track the V12 was faster when on the second track, the Banshee pulled the faster laptimes. This being semi-serious because it was not on current SATCC tracks. If Le mans allows me, in pre-season testint, I want to run race one in the current setup and the second race a setup based on overall laptimes and adjust accordingly. My main goal for this season is to have fun, winning comes second. If I see or feel that my car is too strong (and no, were not going to base this on one track) I will downgrade my car or upgrade to a level where everything is fair. There, however, will be tracks where one car is stronger than another, and that is no reason to smack it with the nerfstick. StoryVS , the 2/4 on the Surano was an idea that's been around for a while. The Surano had no weak tracks where all other cars had. 3/3 to 2/4 is not a big hit, but just big enough to get it in line with the other cars. The reason for this change was mainly the sheer dominance the car has shown in the SATCC YDT. The Surano is stronger on tight and technical tracks due to the increase in acceleration, but its top speed is toned down, making it weaker on long high speed tracks. The exact opposite is the Verlierer/V12. Those cars are ridiculously fast on the high speed track but they are slower on the technical tracks because of their lacking turning ability. This brings more balance to the field with not only the Surano dominating on every track. If there is a gamebreaking car on the field, changes will be made. Now that is cleared, lets just have an enjoyable championship that should not end like last season. I'm specifically talking to the people who think they know everything better and have comments on every single thing that gets decided. If you don't agree with the thing that get done here, take a look at the event sub-forum and pick an event that's more to your likings. That turned out to be more text than I thought, im off to make the team presentation.

Sprunk Team in Surano is official! I'll edit this post later with the pictures with my team mate :) I'm not sure, if you have a teammate already. But if you don't, I would like to join, since I would also prefer to drive the Surano this season.

This is the event I wanted to participate in the most during my time in NODO, but my work schedule had to go and change to nights :/
Thanks for letting me race in the young drivers event, and thanks for the invite to the main event. Hopefully I can join next season if anyone still races lol

endersai I have decided to team up with Just Hero for SATCC. We will race in the Banshee, however, we are working on different team details which will reflect a combined effort from Los Santos' two monolith cigarette companies. (Tagging Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977) for the lolz)

jawn - I was hoping we'd see you here, but I understand. You'll be sorely missed - I was excited by the prospect of a rookie driver winning races! So, here's the things which are getting me excited for Season 4. I'm hoping that people can see here nothing is linked to my personal results. I'm excited that after 2 seasons as teammates, Oh_Darn and I have branched out and I was able to sign fab.ICEMAN. I first met Iceman before either of us were in NoDO. We were in those old race lobbies of 20 people that seemed to roll from track to track, and he was clean in his racing. More importantly, he beat me. When you're using to destroying random racers, someone who is clean, precise and quick is a welcome thing. He came 2nd in Season 1 of SATCC to his stable-mate OvivoJR, for the Benefactor Team. He's quick, has a good sense of humour, and has a real shot at winning things. So I'm keen to see if we can't get him a driver's title. I'm excited by the idea the Constructor's Crown this year will probably not be won by the Driver's champion team. So far I think the strongest pairings is Cloud and Grim and I would be really happy if Invetero won the Constructor's. I like that there are a number of possible future driver's champions: Iceman, Ovivo, Darn, Doom, Smithy, Story. I like that we could see ANOTHER new champion OR a defending champion. I'm excited by the night racing format for not one, but TWO races. The neons will look great there. I'm excited to have the chance to battle with drivers like Jackson, Pez, Blade, Nos, Snuggles, Stocking, Ganjalo and to see how the new guys like Tony and Turtle do. So, yeah, a LOT of positives ahead of us this season and if everyone else had the attitude of "I'm excited for others" it might go back to the better spirit of Seasons 1 and 2.
