So I was practicing on absurd9999's "Top Dog Rally" track. Everything was going fine, and the laptimes where steadily going down (great track btw.) I was doing 5 laps in each race, just to test out a few different cars and settings. Then twice in a row a random player joins my lobby. Both of them where using the Jester RC and I was using the Karuma. Both randomers got completely crushed by my knowledge of the track, "superior driving abilities" and the Karumas off road performance. They both end up leaving after just 1 lap or something.
A few minutes after the last guy leaves my game shuts down and I get message saying that i've been banned until the third of June because of "violation of conduct" or some bullshit like that. The only possible reason I can think of is that the guys I was racing with reported me because they thought I was modding. Isn't it common knowledge that the Karuma absolutely flies when going on dirt roads, and that the NODO member always wins over the IGN and LSB members?
Has anything like this ever happened to any of you?
I'm just so confused right now :/

Man thats so unfortunate, cant say I've ever heard of that before, maybe you should contact R* because that is completely ridiculous. Just goes to show how ignorant is for the racing community, or any community for that matter.

I've never been banned for anything like this, but several months ago I was kicked from a race because another guy failed to pit me:
EDIT: Skip to 50 seconds for the race start.

That's pretty bad aswell, TDWPMark! It's so crazy that all it takes is a few idiots to get people kicked and banned. I opened up a ticket at the support forums, but all i've gotten so far is an automated message saying that they usually don't lift bans. I guess I have a weeks vacation from gaming

This is concerning, here's a recent thread about another Nodoer getting banned: nodo.freeforums.net/thread/7003/why-rely-on-rockstar-support(some tips there on how to write a ticket btw) I've also heard of others getting banned for no apparent reason. I've also been reported in random races more than once, but no ban yet. Could be that there is a threshold for auto-ban, ie if you get X reports at different occasions for exploits, you're out. Or a number of reports triggers a 8-second account review from a R* drone, anything fishy or spend/earned doesn't add up, ban.

I did some research and it turns out that if you get reported a certain amount of times the system will scan your local files for scripthook, spawners, dlls and so on. If it detects anything you will get automaticly banned. The first time for 1-3 weeks, the second time for 1-3 months and the third time for 18 years apparently. I probably had some stray files in my folder from when I used a spawner to test cars in Single Player.
I guess it was both my fault for leaving "evidence" behind and the other guys fault for reporting me for no reason. Better be careful with this stuff because I havn't found anyone who's had any luck with getting their account reopened.

Ah, that makes perfect sense. Bad luck on your part. Ten days of doing IRL stuff should not be fatal. :-)
