Hertz I definitely can't make it on Aug 6th as I am working that day. Unless you are willing to start it later. I would not be able to start until 8pm UTC on the 6th and even that is pushing it.

Thanks for being fluid with this, I hope it works out for all to still attend. Looks like I forgot to put week #2 on the calendar (oops) originally, added it now. Further discussion for another thread, but I haven't approved Esperante's event due to it not having a track (yes, I know its not out in the creator), so I will work with him to move dates or times as we go through that. |

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Tagging every participant, including required commissionertagging for date/calendar change: FriendlyBaron  I personally detest events that get postponed especially with huge breaks in between, but I think it (to be specific, the second week of the event) needs to be delayed. I have considered few other ideas but the improvement is worth it, in my opinion. Of course, I would love to hear your thoughts. But in short, the second week has been pushed to August 6 from July 30. The main reason is that there is an event Head 2 Head Series vol 1: Reaper vs. Cheetah which is actually on July 30 around the same time. First of all, I think it's not good to exclude people in my event to participate in that event. This by itself would be OK, and I wouldn't consider date change if only that was the case. However, more importantly, I think there is a lot of interest in that event for people who are in this event, including me. Both events have large grids requiring sizeable amount of participants; therefore, while I was hesitant , I think this is ultimately the best solution.Now there are two issues: first, the participants may not like the date change; second I may begin to believe that the charm of this event is that it happens in two weeks over quickly. If these issues become apparent I am perfectly fine with dropping the second week altogether -- although this would change the dynamics of the event.A separate problem is that there is bound to be another collision with GalantEvo 's event in submission. While I felt it was important to get it out to you as soon as I had made the decision, it doesn't feel quite right to me, when the whole idea behind this time change was to avoid schedule collisions. However, I believe we may have more options there as event is not yet announced and I hope that we can work this out. Both are short events, so maybe some time change could be arranged for either event. I will be speaking with Esperante soon to see what he thinks.I again apologize for inconvenience and would be more than happy to listen to any concerns. But yes, the first raceday will be on July 23.

I am still open to making it a single week event, but if time has to be moved again I will definitely get rid of the second week and make the single week version a bit beefier so we still have a full-sized event (read: we are not moving time again). I will give it some time but based on feedback here and there, I am beginning to believe we might not race second week at all. I will gather more thoughts and make changes to everything very quickly. Especially, if someone else cannot make it on that date, I will definitely drop the second week, as that would probably from my experience imply that at least 4 people may not be able to take part in the second week. The next post will be my decision and the grid order for my next post here, which would be done by end of this weekend. |

This will be probably the last event I host, I cannot believe how we go from being practically full to missing 3 drivers every week. I rarely complain about signups but this must have been the worst.

We will be missing people regardless at this rate, and I'm deeply unhappy about it, and very frustrated tbh. It's more pain to sort through signups than show up on the day and host, that's the worst part about these things. The event is already halved and this is still miserable. |
