Intro
This event is coming completely thanks to Broughy1322 , who made us drive the Mamba on Grand Tour and The North Loop on his stream (link to the stream here). I immediately fell in love with the car, especially how it really forces you to be at maximum focus for the entire race or you will lose control. Because I like the car so much I decided to host on Mamba championship.
Rules
This event will use the standard NoDo rules and guidelines.
Participants are expected to behave. Failing to follow the rules stated below may result in penalties.
- No killing. If you throw yourself on another persons car, causing a person to get a kill on you, you will receive the penalty yourself. |
- No destroying of vehicles |
- If you have the cops on you, do NOT go get to the meeting location. Get rid of the wanted levels first. |
- Treat each other with respect and use common sense. |
- And the most important point: Have fun! This is not meant to be a serious try-hard event. Fun is priority number 1! |
- Respawning is not allowed unless you find yourself in an unrecoverable position. |
- FPS limit will be set to 90 fps. Not so tryhard to have 60, tryhard enough to not make it unlimited and let the scums cheat their way to victory |
Penalties may vary from a warning, grid penalty, point reduction or disqualification from the event, depending on the severity of the offence.
Race regulations
Calendar: |
|
Chassis: | The only chassis that will be allowed in the series is the Declasse Mamba. |
Restrictions: |
|
Qualifying: | Before race 1, we will do a 5 lap qualifying in non-contact. In the first lap we gather in the pit lane where everyone will be released with small gaps in between. You then proceed to do three timed laps before gathering in the pits on the final lap. When everyone has done their laps and entered the pits, we will race to the finish for that extra bit of cash. For rounds 2, 3 and 4 the grid will be the reversed finishing order of the previous race. Abuse for better starting positions will be penalized. |
Race Start: | When entering the race pull off to the side and wait for your name to be called. When you're called you will be gridded up by the host or race official. The race will start when sticky bombs are detonated. |
Pit Stops: | When a pit lane is available, one mandatory pitstop is required and has to be made in between lap 2 and the second to last lap. So pitting on the first and the last lap is not allowed. A pit stop is made by driving through the pits and coming to a stop at the end of the pit lane. There you are required to get out of your car and run around your car once before getting back in. You then are free to continue the race. Failing to complete the pit stop will result in a 45 second time penalty that will be added to your race time. |
Disconnects: | If you disconnect during the race you will be noted as DNF by engine failure. You will be put in last of the current racing participants. May that be a point scoring position, you will still receive those points. Disconnecting will put you in the back of the grid of the next race to avoid abuse. |
Penalties: | If a participant fails to follow the rules, a penalty will be applied. Severity of the penalty depends on the severity of the offence. |
Driver Signups
Sign Ups: Participants must be members of NODO and meet event eligibility requirements to sign up.
Participants must sign up in teams of 2. The team must represent an in-game company and the paint schemes must consist the company's colors. Teams should take care not to pick similar paint schemes. Two teams with the same primary color will not be allowed. Sign ups are currently limited to 12 teams consisting 24 drivers but may increase in case of high interest.
You can sign up on your own and pick a team mate at a later point. The host will assign lone drivers to teams should they not be in one within 24 hours before the start of the event.
Reserves: Participants may sign up as reserves if the main sign-ups list becomes full. Teams may freely source their reserves until 24 hours before the event start, at which point the host assumes the role of allocating reserves to empty spots. When allocating reserves to empty seats, the host will assign them on a first-come, first-serve basis.
