Im an East Coast American. In my few days here I have found that many of the events I want to compete in are simply not within my schedule. The best time I have to play GTA is on weekdays after classes. So from 5pm all the way to 1 or 2 am [EST of course]. I would like to know if there is any interest here in creating a (Late Night, Monday-Thursday) type racing event to better suit the diversity of players here.
I believe UTC is 4 hours ahead of my time. A race starting at 5pm for me would be 9pm UTC
any night owls like me out there?

I'm fine with racing in the evening or even later than that. That's what this crew is missing because everyone thinks that Sunday from noon to 3 is the only time that people are open.

Yeah I feel like people tend to be all over the place on weekends, but during the week most people have a daily grind they must attend to. That means that they will be at home and bored at night.
I could see shorter events being quite popular too. maybe have 2 races a week, Monday/Wednesday for example. And have the event only go for 2 or 3 weeks at most. Basically just giving people more chances to compete.

I've been planning an ongoing event similar to FriendlyBaron 's Evening Racing Club. It would be twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday, at 9pm UTC. I've already built the first playlist so pretty much all that needs to happen now is I need to get approval to launch it. Is that the sort of thing you were thinking of? I remember some of the first NoDo events I was involved in were more casual, ongoing things so I really want to bring that feeling to Xbox One with casual but competitive, mid-week playlists and endurance races. This would give new racers an introduction to NoDo, and it could be a testing ground for more serious event concepts. That being said, it would still be clean, competitive racing, just like you would expect from any other event.

YES! absolutely. That sounds great. I definitely want clean/competitive/professional racing too, and I think that is what most people on here crave. but like you said, many people miss out on these events because they are a little too in depth.
Your event sounds perfect for me.
And yes, I think if there were more weekly events we would more easily introduce people into the racing scene. Its kind of daunting signing up for your first event as a 15 person 3 month commitment ya know? I understand all the basics of clean racing, pitting, blue flags, and so fourth, but it would be nice to actually do it in a professional competitive environment a few times before I sign up for a big championship.
damn Ive got alot of ideas now lol.

racing qualifications would be badd freakin ass. idk if we have them elsewhere, but for example. Pro racer/street racer/busch league/noob. Each member earns their status by merit. so any noob must compete in at least 1 ongoing event before they can become busch league. at that point you must WIN a certain amount of races to become a bit more prestigious at "street racer" or whatever. and at the very top Pro racers could compete in anything, as well as having specific events ONLY for the very best "pro racers" in our community.
idk if that makes sense. im a verbal explainer and rambler, i cant do much on a keyboard in terms of brainstorming because my fingers dont move fast enough.

Really loving this community so far, just a bit jealous of the PC side lol.

That's my problem too. I work nights and I get home after midnight EST. So I am usually online around 1:00 a.m. Would be great if there was some serious racers around even to do playlists.

Good news everyone! My event, Weekday Racing Series has now been approved. Starting next week, we will race every Tuesday and Thursday in a variety of classes, at 9PM UTC. I hope to see you all there.
