Didn't they only come with manual gearing and full auto? Something else, do you know if it's possible to get an awd golf? No, dual clutch six speeder. And the Golf R is AWD. That'll be the next car, or an S3. How does the transmission work? A dual clutch six speeder tells me you don't operate the clutch yourself and that there's six gears.

Yes. So because the clutches can work together it can sync up gear changes much more quickly than a standard auto or a manual.
I either put it in Drive, which is adaptive; Sport, or manual. Then I can shift gears using the gear stick as a sort of sequential shifter, or paddles on the wheel.

So, I'm gonna bump this thread again.
Since I soon have to drive 100km everyday, I decided to get something a bit different.

My second car was a Galant: a 1998 2.0 GLXi Wagon. Very roomy and reliable car. Bought it with about 120.000 kilometers on the clock and put about another 150.000 kilometers on it over the course of 7 years before I sold it.

My first car was a 1996 Fiat Punto 60S, second car a 2002 Ford Fiesta 125i-16v. And 3rd and current car, 2003 Lotus Elise S2. Imported from England as a LHD. Obviously the one I like the most

I learned to drive by rolling around in a 2001 Chevy Tahoe and a 2005 Toyota Tundra, so getting my first car was weird since I'd spent a year driving landboats. My first car was a 2001 Ford Mustang V6 Convertible. Fun to drive (automatic though, so not THAT fun) but it was an economic disaster. I rarely got more than 200 miles out of the 15.5 gallon fuel tank. I had it from 2014 until February of this year when my girlfriend totalled it driving over a mountain during a thunderstorm.
By that time, I was making preparations to move out for university, so I wanted a more functional car. Settled on a 2008 Honda Fit Sport, which has been really nice to have. Bought it at 93k, just crossed 100k a couple days ago.

I'll start off here with the cars I used to own and have since sold/traded-in. 1992 Chevrolet Lumina Euro 3.4L DOHC V6 automatic - this was my grandpa's car that he gifted to me as an early graduation present in high school (and my first car). I beat the snot out of this thing taking it places it was never meant to go and racing V6 Mustangs it never should have been able to beat. This thing was a tough SOB, though, and was always dirt-cheap to fix and keep it going. 1994 Corvette C4 5.7L LT1 automatic - bought this for my wife shortly after we got married. Was a fun car, but a problem child for the 2 yrs we owned it until I finally got fed up with fixing it every 2 weeks and traded it in for the next car. 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 6.1L Hemi automatic - this was what we traded up to from the Corvette. Loved the comfort and power of this car. Sadly, we owned it for all of 10 months before some jackass ran a red light and t-boned my wife in it doing 60 mph and completely totaled it... RIP. 2008 Saturn Sky Redline 2.0L turbocharged automatic - Bought this for my wife to replace the totaled Challenger and so far she's loving it. Previous owner went through the hassle of badge swapping everything to look like an Opel GT, so it stands out being here in the USA. (Still currently owned.) 2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP 2.0L turbocharged 5-speed manual - I bought this car 2 weeks after getting the Sky above because it was so fun to drive, I wanted one of my own for a new daily driver / gas saver. This thing is almost like a little go kart on the street compared to my main pride and joy (coming up). (Still currently owned.) And finally, my one true love that will remain with me until either I die or it's totaled beyond repair: 1996 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 5.7L LT1 6-speed manual - I bought this car in my final semester of college and learned to drive a stick in this car because I wanted it so bad. I daily drove this car right up until I bought the Solstice in March of this year. Now, it's taking on a new direction in life now. I'm in the final steps of wrapping up my road race / autox build on it. Just this past week, MATTG35 flew down to Dallas, TX for a week of vacation to help me tear the car apart and rebuild it. Never done so much work in so little time, but we killed it and got her running and driving with time to spare and built us a monster. Just have to finish up a few little touches now (muffler shop to get the rest of the exhaust installed and then to the alignment shop to dial it in for autox-ing). The day I brought her home, October 7, 2011: The way she looked up until a week ago: And now, the final product after last week's build marathon:

I'm stuck deciding next between an Audi S3 or a BMW M140i. I would prefer a 240i but I need a 4 door for bey-be.
