Can I do this in the drift Tampa? If so sign me up. Not got a co-driver atm, anyone wanna join me upside-down in a ditch? XP Anyone who wants to team, if you play rally games and know all/few call signs, would be very nice to drive with you. Especially as the Tampa will be sideways the whole time

Awesome neutren! I signed you up. Anyone who wants to team, if you play rally games and know all/few call signs, would be very nice to drive with you. Especially as the Tampa will be sideways the whole time :D I don't know much about pace notes, and every pilot/copilot has its own way of using them, but when I started to think about this of course I thought it'd be awesome to have some reference to help players communicate. Ultimately I think this is too much "work" for a small GTA event and that's why I didn't put any effort in it, but if you can find another player that enjoys "role playing" this aspect, I'm sure you'll have great fun! Most crews use a notation from 1 to 6 for the corners I believe, representing the gear in which they should be driving through it, but that doesn't work for us since we don't know in which gear we are. We also have no reference about the distance in the game. On the other hand, checkpoints have 1, 2 or 3 chevrons depending of the angle to the next checkpoint, that could be useful. Some other elements to describe a corner: Elevation change: plus or minus Direction: right or left Air time: over crest (small hill) or jump (big hill, prepare throttle and wheel position ) Radius: long or short, opens or tigthens You also have to consider the next corner ahead so, cut the corner or don't cut the corner, follow the apex or go wide... This is just some stuff that I had in my head and I don't expect anyone to follow a precise system or anything. We don't have reconnaissance stages nor pace notes anyway, everything is live. Just make sure you understand each other in the cockpit and you'll be fine. I thought about having reconnaissance stages for the event by the way, but that also feels like too much work. That would also increase the competitiveness of the event a lot, and I'm not sure that's what I want, I'd rather this to stay casual. I'm open for feedback on this matter when we're done with this experimental stage!

I'm open for feedback on this matter when we're done with this experimental stage! If after this BETA rally stage you do an actual one, you could make it so you drive the co drivers around in two large cars so they can map out the track on that one run and give notes to their driver while going through the course, more responsibility as a co driver then. Also some drivers prefer to know the angle of the corner they are going through rather than gear, we could do this. 1=10 degrees- 4= 40 degrees etc. Either way, in the Drift Tampa we wont be winning any medals so may aswell have a play with the roleplay of it all.

That was my idea Prismide yeah, have the co-pilots run a reconnaissance stage so they can take some notes. But really it's a lot of work and time for everyone, I think that's not what most participants would enjoy. I like to keep it open: some crews will want to make a good performance, and some other will just enjoy doing something different from usual. Some crews will want to setup a clear communication system, some crews will... well, what Snuggles said :p and that's very fine! I'll try to think about some tools to give the ability to the crews that want to take it seriously to do it, without giving them too much of an advantage. For example, I could give the start point and the finish point for a stage so people can drive all the roads in that area before the actual races. They don't really get an advantage because they don't know exactly which roads we'll be using but they will know the area better than others. By the way Snuggles, you're doing it totally wrong, this is not what we're expecting from you, do I really have to link this video again?!

Oh yes! Sign me up! (At the moment, I need a team member and a team name.) I have Tropos, Omnis and Futo. Native language: German, and I'd like to be the copilot first.

I have my own Futo in Lipstick Pink (Candy Red, Pifster Pink) that I'd like to drive for this one. Would be looking for a Co-Driver/Navigator: Tonyborbony , Just Hero (Your humour on the drive would be of value), @novesori (Your only opportunity to not be riding my rear bumper), Nick420Guy (I owe you a ride after bailing on Le Long MCER) And of course any other individual who is willing to drive a bright pink Futo and also call directions and generally prevent death Want to team up you scrub? We switch cars tho after replays k screw your pinkness

Can use either of our Tampas and will switch round positions.
