Coil represents:
Formula E Series Season 2
Saturdays 8 PM UTC
Standings: Spreadsheet
Summary:
After the success of season 1 hosted by Oh_Darn , and the popularity of the idea of a new season. Sadly the host of season one decided to not host the event again. This is where I decided to host the event myself, because I love the car, I really wanted to have a second season, since I wasn't part of the crew back, when the first season was hosted. A quick shout out to Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977) for the logo of the event.
General information:
Organizer: Benimi
Communication: Teamspeak 3
Races: 6
Race length: 40-50 minutes
Weather: Current
Time of Day: Noon
Car: Coil Voltic - both hardtop and topless.
Number of drivers: 24
Number of teams: 8

Sign ups:
Every participant needs to select a start number between 2 and 99. Car #1 reserved for ovivoJR , champion of season 1. Participants need to sign up with teams of 3. If you don't have a team yet, just sign up, and say you are looking for a team, we'll find you later. Every team need to select a sponsor from an in-game company, exceptions are the car manufacturers and gas companies, those are not allowed. After teams are set, I'd like to ask every team to send me a promo picture, contains at least 1 of the cars in team colours.
Reserves:
If you are not able to participate, you can nominate a reserve driver to drive your car, the car need to be race legal, and in team colour. Reserve drivers are able to score points for the team, but not for the driver.
Driver championship:
Every driver will score points for themselves. The point system is similar to the FIA point system. 2 bonus points for the driver who sets the fastest lap.
Points:
1st | 25 points |
2nd | 18 points |
3rd | 15 points |
4th | 12 points |
5th | 10 points |
6th | 8 points |
7th | 6 points |
8th | 4 points |
9th | 2 points |
10th | 1 point |
Team championship:
Towards the team championship the 2 higher scoring drivers' points count every round, and points from the MAC3, see below.
MAC3:
The MAC3 is based on WTCC's MAC3. It is a team time trial, all 3 drives of the team driving at the same time. The cars are going to line up side-by-side at the start line. Start is going to happen on the timer, jump start means penalty. The time will set by the driver who finishes last. Team work is key. Points will be added to the team championship, and the points will be double of the FIA point system (1st - 50 pts, 2nd - 36pts etc.). Every team will have a pre-announced race day to do it, before the start of the race, 2 teams per day, from the 2nd race day to the 5th race day. Times and points will be released before the last race.

Grid:
For the first race of the season, we'll have a 7 lap qualifying, with 5 flying laps, which will directly decide the grid for the first race. For every other race the results from the previous race will set up the grid. The first 10 position will start in reverse order as they finished (winner starts from 10th, 2nd starts from 9th, ... , 10th starts from pole.) and the result from 11th to 24th will be start from the same position they finished.
Virtual Safety Car:
If a crash includes more than 3 drivers, we'll deploy the VSC, this means the leader has to slow down to a safe speed, let everyone catch up, form a single line. If the pack is formed up again, the race director will announce a Safety Car Line, where the race resumes, when the announcement happens the leader controls the speed again, drivers can't overtake before the SC Line and they can't let the gap to the car before grow over 10 car lengths. Drivers can overtake after they individually crossed the selected SC line. SC lines will be announced before race day. The pit is open during VSC, but you are only able to re-enter to the track after the last car on the track passed.
Track limits - Curb boosting:
The track contains the tarmac and the track extensions, on track props the track is the road between white lines. You can't leave the track with all 4 wheels. If you do it, and it gives you an advantage to the drivers who didn't you need to give it back.
For curb boosting, you can change direction once to leave the shortest line between the track out, and the turn in once per straight for a curb boost, and you can do one more direction change to get back in the line, until you are not violating defending rules. If you change direction more than 2, you can't go back to the racing line for the next turn.
Start - finish:
Standing start. The race will start on stickies, after a pre-announced time. And the race will end, when the timer stops everybody from racing. If the results doesn't match with the finishing positions between the DNF drivers please let me know - It is a glitch, it can happen sometimes.
Pits:
Every race will have mandatory pit(s). General rule is, a driver can't drive more than ~60% of the race distance without a pit stop. Laps will be announced together with the over all race distances. This leaves you with 2 viable tactics, you pit one time, between the 40% and 60% of the race, or you can pit 2 times, out side the window for the 1 pit strategy to avoid traffic, fix your car or some other evil plan you have.
The pits only a drive through, you don't have to stop/wait in the pits.
Every driver have to call out their pits via teamspeak or in-game text chat. Calling out is mandatory, if you fail to do this, you can't back yourself up with records of the pits. It is a tactical disadvantage for the drivers who are calling out the pits. If you are not comfortable with loosing time to call it out in game text chat or your controller disconnects if you do it or some other problem you have doing it, use a soundboard to do it on TS.
Standart NoDo Guidelines and blue flag rules applies!
