Just saw this video about the science of Interstellar analysed by physicist Dr. Clifford V. Johnson.

The host was trying to keep everything light i guess. He did not push far into the science. Would have loved to hear more on the accretion disks of the black holes glowing in the visible spectrum or the theoretical distances between the main space station, the water planet and the black hole needed for a 23 year dilation.

[br True... I love that subject tho.. I could watch " Through the wormhole " all night . All 48 episodes! Lol

Serious opinions from Dr. Johnson I like Hal Rudnick and Screen Junkies. The guy's just a fun, occasionally sarcastic dude. Nothing mean spirited about him at all. Hit me up on Twitter. Bye bye *waves vigorously*

I read somewhere that... the distance between the water planet and the black hole was about the equivalent of earth to the moon. I guess that's enough of a curve to cause a fairly significant warping in the fabric of space time. I imagine on the other side of the planet it's 100 years or something and the waves there are too terrifying for words. Don't take my word for it though. It was just some fan theory on a board somewhere.

I thought it was great. And I basically predicted the end, so yeah.

Saw it a couple days ago. Really liked it. 9/10 for me. Just out of interest, what prevented it from getting that last mark out of 10? Personal preference more than anything. The interstellar kind of stuff has always fascinated me since I was little. I really liked it, but just wouldn't put it up there with my favorites. ***SPOILER*** I'm not especially knowledgeable on the subject, so don't like to spout anything off without feeling like I'm being ignorant. But, I did have a few questions during the movie. As was previously mentioned, how did Romilly survive when Cooper and Brand went down to Miller's planet? He said he took a few long naps, but sounded like he was awake for good amount of the 23 years. Brand's whole rant on love, Coop shuts her down, then suddenly believes in it when he's stuck in the anomaly? From when he was in the anomaly, it wasn't apparent to me if anything was done to make sure Coop came out of the anomaly exactly at that time and place that he did. I think there would be a few more questions, but I didn't really think about it and didn't let it ruin my enjoyment of a good movie.
Like I said, more of personal preference than anything else.

Plot holes and conveniences Yea, figured as much. It didn't take anything out of my overall experience though.
