We use the FIA points for guidance, which is why they're capped at 12; it used to be top 10 only, when we had grids of 24 cars. Going to 28 means a proportional increase of points scoring positions by 2.
I think though we need to keep it this way, since it makes point scoring more rewarding. I choked on the second last lap of Rocky Walls at the chicane, losing P10 which, from last, was a pretty good haul. So a potential 4pts to 0.
For the guys who didn't score points - Tony made massive leaps forward this season from last; BIGGamerer was off form and probably will score a bunch next season; Kebab is a massive scrub and it was your rookie season. I wouldn't sweat it too much.
However, we are planning next season out, for a late April start. Expect at least one more master's event before then.
As a preview; next season has 3 options for car sets. You can see the ideas here:
nodo.freeforums.net/thread/9618/endersais-series-racing-defined-classesGT1 - Supers
This means:
* Itali GTB (including Custom; teams would need to run the custom at least once)
* Grotti Turismo R
* Overflod Entity XF
* Pegassi Reaper
* Ocelot Penetrator
And others - Progen Tyrus, Grotti Cheetah, Pegassi Infernus etc
Pros: Look the part of GT racecars; consistency of pace among the cars (a few tenths for top 3), forgiving handling
Cons: May just turn into a hotlap competition
GT2 - Sports - current
The current crop of cars, with some additions:
* Dewbauchee Seven70
* Dewbauchee Specter* Dinka Jester
* Obey 9F
* Annis Elegy Retro Custom (downgraded)
* Pfister Comet Retro* Grotti Bestia GTS
* Benefactor Surano
Pros: We just saw a season where despite strong Seven70 showings, 3rd place driver was in a 9F and the fastest driver was in a Jester. (Look at the spreadsheet for the variance to the pace).
Cons: After a strong showing, would everyone just again pick the Seven70?
And GT3 - original sports cars. Right now, thanks to work from
Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977), we are looking at an option for the cars that will see turbos removed from most:
* Pfister Comet (Engine 3 Trans 3 No Turbo)
* Benefactor Surano (Engine 3 Trans 3 No Turbo)
* Grotti Carbonizzare (No Turbo)
* Bravado Banshee (No Turbo)
* Invetero Coquette (No Turbo)
* Albany Alpha (No Turbo)
* Ocelot Lynx (with turbo)
* Karin Sultan (with turbo)
Pros: Grim's testing shows competitive lap times and pace for battles; finally the fucking Lynx might be usable, lot of depth in the field
Cons: 4 seasons of familiar ground; Surano and Comet are still the best choices so we'd have to limit access away from the top drivers for balance.
Personally, I would love GT1 being a massive McLaren fanboy (I mean, look at my forum avatar!), to have a Progen team driving a Progen car, but the main consideration will be - how good is the racing going to be?
