This section was empty, and it's a shame since a lot of GTA games were great. Let's start things with a poll, and talk about our favourite GTA games.
For me, it's very first one. I always loved 2D games more than 3D. I had a lot of fun times with this one, especially its London 1969 expansion.
And that theme song... Why did Rockstar give up on it ? It feels like Sega ditching Sonic, I really don't understand why would anyone make this decision (well, unless it's copyright issues).
So, how about you guys? ;)

I played San Andreas so much more than any other GTA game. My friends and I would basically lock ourselves in his basement switching between deaths. I have SA on my 360 hardrive, and I still remember the Hydra cheat, the weapons cheats, and the health cheat by heart. Plus planes, bicycles, clothing, car customization, character customization, and the RPG feel that it had.
P.S. Jetpack....

Quote from GTA San Andreas
CJ: Can you shoot? The Truth: Shoot? I'm a hippie. The only thing I've shot is acid. I heard of a dude snorted it once. Thought his nose was a kangaroo and the moon was a dog! WOO!

For me, it's almost a 3 way tie between Vice City, San Andreas, and GTA 5. Then I remembered Michael's acid trip scene.

I honestly think this is the best GTA. GTA 5 that is. It just needs some SP DLC and continued online support. The worst GTA was IV imo bc it took away EVERYTHING that was good about Vice City and San Andreas. GTA 5 basically brought us back to where we were with better graphics. So I guess logically its the best game and I have had the most fun playing it.

While GTA 4 wasn't necessarily "worst" than what came before I don't know if I'd call it better. I mean from a game mechanics pov it was, if you remember what firefights were like in GTA 3 and Vice City you know what I'm talking about . Personally I like GTA Online the most cause it's what I wanted from the start, true GTA sandbox multiplayer. After that GTA 5 SP. I can't say after that. I liked all the ones I've played. Oh and.... VICE CITY OST FTW

SA was the first GTA I played and I still replay it sometimes so it's most definitely my favorite.

I'm gonna say GTA 4. I've completed that thing 10 or 11 times (that's not silly!). I know people say that it took the fun out, no side activities and whatnot. Yeah. I don't really care about that. I loved GTA 4 for what it was. Gritty, dark, authentic, realistic (you know what kind of "realistic" I mean), unparalleled atmosphere. LC is the best videogame city ever made, plus I love NY. I also love the depth GTA 4 had, which 5 doesn't, in many ways. The countless ways to enjoy the Euphoria engine, car destruction, interaction with pedestrians, and all kinds of little details that make you go WOW when you discover them.
I love GTA 5 and GTA Online, and I realize their immense qualities, but no other GTA will ever stay in my heart the way GTA 4 does.

"GTA IV: The Lost & The Damned" had the best story line.

5 is by far the greatest achievement of them all I think. It takes inspiration from all the previous ones and improves on all of them. The only things about it which I think went backwards are the story + characters (which are still decent anyway) and the radio stations.
Before 5, Vice City was my favourite. I loved the neon 80s theme.
