So uh, am I the only one about eight-tenths off their lap times on this upcoming track compared to July's race?

Okay kids we're getting reasonably close to the start of race 1. Some things you guys might want to know: 1. Practice the track. Yes, it's only like 15 seconds to loop back around to the start/finish line, but the skill gap last time we ran this was fairly significant and the car can be hard to handle on the bumps--about 20 laps of practice should be good enough to get an idea of what to expect. 2. Setups are important. On road courses setups are a game of compromise. Gains in one corner may be negated in another. Thus, it is difficult to get much out of setups for these types of races. For ovals, however, a good setup will shave a marginal amount of time off your laps. If you need a starting point on setup for this track, the 2nd highest suspension with Revolvers (Muscle) may be a good choice. 3. Team up with people. There are a couple of people right now with no teams and teams with missing slots. If you guys don't team up, that's okay, I will assign teams two days out from the event start for those without them, but I figure you guys would prefer if you teamed up with people you wanted to team up with. 4. As stated previously a red flag will be issued on the first safety car that occurs in this championship--the way these past events have been going we could very well have this first race go safety-car free--to walk participants through the safety car procedure and ensure everyone knows how the rules work--we had some confusion about safety car procedure in the Lando Corp event which is why I'm doing this. 5. Additional tags are going out to people who may want to claim a last-minute spot for race 1.

I have around 1m right now, I could blow it up on buying and upgrading these cars since I don't want to race with stock ones with no upgrades, that's a sure lose.

OP has been updated with track walkthrough video. Some advice on strategy while I'm here: Yes, we've had races with no safety cars, but they like to pop up in these races more often than with other series, I suggest planning your pit strategy around that. Taking your pits early may help, but don't put yourself a lap down doing them. At the same time, you'll want a clean car at the end of the race--cars with damaged suspension do NOT take the bumps on this track well. As with other races within this crew, track position is also a factor when considering pit strategy; clean air gets you better lap times. Pit stops will add about three seconds to your lap times on this track. Please be careful when entering and exiting the pits; stay on the inside of turn 1 if you plan to pit and stay on the inside of turn 2 as you exit. We had some issues in July with unsafe pit entries which is why I emphasize this. EDIT: Quick heads up we will still use the Ruiner for race 2. I am heavily considering changing the vehicle for Paleto Speedway to the Ruiner as well but need some more time to think about it.
