I thought it was quite sad that Verstappen got overtaken by Hamilston on lack of highspeed... Not that I'm hyped over Verstappen, just a stupid win of position.

I suspect once he got to Raikkonen it was tyres more than a lack of engine power/dirty air that stopped him. Brundle was right in the commentary when he said it would be a lot harder on a level engine playing field.

Renault engines were also down on power. And, whilst Hamilton had the pace, the car was still a bastard in dirty air. Hence why he didn't get P3.

It's weird that Mercedes never sorted that all season. Ferrari could follow them so closely, yet Mercedes would rather have the instability for greater downforce. Also, Inb4 random theories suggesting Hamilton deliberately crashed to show the raw pace of Mercedes and hype up the team for sponsorships next year.

I guess changing the characteristics of the car to follow other closely would mean a complete redesign they could only do over the winter. Maybe they’ll do that next year? Nice conspiracy theory. Maybe Saubrr should develop a car so slow that they get lapped every 2 laps to get more tv time. Qualifying would be tricky though.

So Hartley got the drive allongside Gasly at Torro Rosso for next year.
Some nice news and finally a driver in that team that has more options than being promoted to Red Bull or being burned by them.
I hope they won't start at the back of the field all the time due to Honda engine cancer.

I hope they won't start at the back of the field all the time due to Honda engine cancer. If Honda can't figure it out next year and at the very minimum be serviceable, this might be the (at least temporary) end for them in F1. Don't think they get any kind of deal done if teams are just better of staying in the box week in, week out.

Really quite surprising that a Haas driver was being a bit of a cunt. They're such a kind and considerate team with two drivers who don't show stupid levels of aggression, thinking that being dicks might elevate them beyond their own talent and car and give them some notoriety.
Haas is a great team with great drivers.
