Yeah, but doing a couple lap to familiarize yourself with the track isn't the same as hotlapping. Hotlapping is what you do to practice for an endurance event, or if you desperately want to get the fastest lap on a certain track... I think I explained myself quite badly their. Basically, that's what I said. I highly discourage hotlapping, but if you want to familiarize yourself with a new track then fair enough. People being familiar with tracks is always beneficial and leads to less clusterfucks. Hot-lapping isn't something that you can effectively police and the pros of people knowing what tracks are coming up definitely outweigh the cons. Besides which I didn't think people cared enough to hot-lap for this event.

Back on topic eh? So anyone wanna discuss the business secrets of the pharaohs? 50% on research 50% on production.
Like Speky said, there have been some ch-ch-ch-changes!1. YOU MUST be in Slack throughout the entirety of the event.
Can I enquire as to why this is a requirement? I kind of see where you might be going, but I'd like to hear it from the horses mouth.
Honestly if people are going to hotlap tracks for a laid back weekly playlist they are just sad human beings . But I'd have nothing else to do while the people in their underwear cut baking soda, talcum powder and snow-in-a-can with charlie to increase my profit. On a serious note there's nothing wrong with being familiar as to which way the track runs, but running anything more than 3 laps should be punishable by death!

However we all know that game chat is quite dodgy and hard to rely on, so we can use Slack as a clear communication platform. Also, getting the familiar with the tracks is absolutely fine! Just don't hotlap the shit out of them. One final thing, I think I should apologise for last week's playlist (week 16), alot more time should have been dedicated to selecting the tracks. It's just typical me, I leave everything that needs to be done to the last second!
