The videos are all uploaded, including the awards ceremony. And the spreadsheet has been updated. Thanks Brady ! I'd just like to check how the team points work. The spreadsheet seems to take the entire season of results for teams. (Life Invader in 2nd should actually have 166 points not 164, if that's how you meant to do it.) But it says the best 5 results count. If we combine the driver championship points to make the team points: 83 + 61 = 144 360 No Scope 420 Swag 104 + 38 = 142 Life Invader 93 + 52 = 145 Epsilon Program 90 + 48 = 138 Los Santos Customs 114 + 12 = 126 Idiosyncratic Team 65 + 18 = 83 Sweet Candy Racing Formatted more neatly and put in finishing order: 093 BenMillard 052 igg07 145 Epsilon Program 083 AjAxel 061 ImAwesome0044 144 360 No Scope 420 Swag 104 SmelterNL 038 Anthony1131tch 142 Life Invader 090 complex 048 jayhuddy 138 Los Santos Customs 114 mrred16pl 012 NRainier 126 Idiosyncratic Team 065 Ricki 018 ApexWhiteout 083 Sweet Candy Racing (Driver championship used best 5 results from each team member. It included points granted for the position held when they disconnected. It did not include points scored by reserve drivers.) If you just take the 5 biggest scores for each team, it might get weird. You could include some team results where one driver actually dropped that result from the driver championship. It would include points scored by reserves - maybe that's intentional. I suggest calculating the team results directly from the driver championship results so you get parity between both competitions. (All the team championship points come from the driver championship points.) EDIT: If you include points scored by reserves for the team championship and still only take the best 5 per driver 'slot': 093 BenMillard 070 igg07 163 Epsilon Program 102 complex 048 jayhuddy 150 Los Santos Customs 083 AjAxel 061 ImAwesome0044 144 360 No Scope 420 Swag 104 SmelterNL 038 Anthony1131tch 142 Life Invader 114 mrred16pl 020 NRainier 134 Idiosyncratic Team 065 Ricki 059 ApexWhiteout 124 Sweet Candy Racing What do bright green cells mean in the driver points table, please? Some of them are being counted for driver championship and some are not. (I've included everything here, just dropping the worst result in each row.) EDIT2: If you simply take the best 5 team results, regardless of how they were scored: 163 Epsilon Program 148 Los Santos Customs 144 360 No Scope 420 Swag 142 Life Invader 134 Idiosyncratic Team 116 Sweet Candy Racing There are lies, damned lies, then statistics!

There is a limit to the permanent spaces. The sign-ups have changed so much it's hard to understand who gets priority as it should be 'first come first served'.
Anyone who is committed to be there every week deserves to be a permanent driver with a defined team. If we have more people like that than we have spaces, well, time to pick through the thread to figure out the exact sign-up order.
With all the drop-outs it looks to me like there is enough space for everyone who wants to be permanent. I hope so, anyway.

I'll probably do a long cycle ride this Sunday morning. Might be back in time for this. Don't delay it if I'm not around, though. Fullrangemadness

This is all off-topic. But as we have a week to go, maybe it's good to fill the time. lildyl214Xaris maybe you are Googling lousy places. PS3 motherboard can go way, way faster than the cheap 5,200rpm HDD. It can go pretty much SATA-II speed. I witness the massive improvement every time I am gaming. The biggest improvement is in the long loading screens. Sky camera. But also you can drive full speed anywhere and never get pop-up. Mechanical drives can't read lots of little files from lots of different places because they have to move a long arm back and forth. SSDs have no moving parts and the good ones can seek random files in parallel, to some extent. They also buffer writes much more efficiently. So when the PS3 memory gets full the SSD becomes very effective 'virtual memory'. With the old hard drive, XMB sometimes took 1 solid minute to open. If it was during skycam, usually loading failed. It's a world of different in these extreme situations. Opening the XMB for text chat is something I relish instead of dread, now. (Any old USB keyboard works with PS3, if you have no mic.) I got a 500GB Crucial MX100 for £150 off Amazon. It was during a sale. There's a newer version now, the MX200. It's actually cheaper - about £125 right now. Of course, that's more than the resale value of the whole console. But I have enjoyed the console 10x more now the worse of the loading times and all of the pop-up are gone. £150 for 1.25 years of much happier gaming? Bargain, imho. Heists seem to download the whole goddamn job every goddamn time. Then sync the players in a really long-winded yet fragile way. So they still break a lot if you launch with randoms who are far away. But you are never the cause if you have half decent Internet and SSD. If everyone else has decent setup, they can still mess up due to R* cloud services.

I never get pop-up on PS3 after switching to SSD. Unless there's a hacker or modder in the session and I look out the window of a top floor High End Apartment. Bad quality internet can make your system constantly back-track to untangle the incoming data. WiFi interference. Too much Internet traffic in your town or even country. Your service provider might delay gaming data, if there's a lot of VOIP and video streaming. So I'd definitely suggest getting the best Internet you can. Try taking your PS3 to a friend or family member with great Internet and see if it's any better. If you regularly play people thousands of miles away, everything is out of sync due to the distance. Your console has to work harder figuring out how everything is moving. Especially with traffic, Actors, police and lots of other players on screen.

Half the grid is basically red. Someone be yellow! It's not easy being green but we'll appreciate the diversity.
Avain Autosporrs? Team EgoChaser?
The purpose of team colours is to easily tell the teams apart during the race. And in any results spreadsheet. Too similar colours makes that too difficult.

I see. It's more like a creator challenge which you try out in between events. Like doing Impromptu Races in a Freemode but with full checkpoints.
You should support 16 racers using Small Grid because they can be raced non-contact. Or people can form up at run in pairs. Maybe some people enter as spectators, too.
You would need a finish line using props, then the final checkpoint much further away. People would get DNF if the first half of the grid crossed the final CP. You can see who crossed the prop line using GPS, if you place it near a line or on a junction.
Just some ideas to develop this concept into actual gameplay.

kevin98 thanks for the notice. Now I don't have to rush back from my ride tomorrow. EDIT: Maybe update topic title? And use month name instead of a number. The position is ambiguous when it's a number.

PS3: Hills Pass Canyon Duel Obviously missing a checkpoint between CP21 and CP22. That left hander down a blind crest is just barely full gas. Even on a perfect line and not possible (or slower) to take flat out with some vehicles. It's a significant direction change so it needs a CP.
I'm not sure you'll get many sign-ups to an event where the tracks have 0 plays.
Would this be hosted in GTA Mode with rounds arranged over mic? 1 driver against another, the rest watch on the Start > Map. Then the next pair?
If it's more than 1v1 how will the grid be formed?
Any car choice restrictions? Which car classes?

Hah, yeah I skip a lot of the polite words when typing on a phone or PS3. Behind-the-scenes photo I took during the awards ceremony: Brady or somebody, would you be able to type up the award winners please? Maybe it was already done but I missed it. EDIT: For reference, here's the One Hour Magic Spreadsheet again. Brady would you add the points for PS3 Round 6 into the driver championship and team championship, too? Maybe you can share this admin with another person for the PS4 season - there's so much you are doing behind the scenes, by yourself, to make this thing happen.

Is each team required to drive both cars? Please please please...
It would give this series a multi-class element and put more diversity on the grid.
Still some weeks even before the first round.
(If a team only has 1 driver on the day, they could use either car. Naturally.)

I'm doing a long cycle ride Sunday morning into the afternoon. Hope to be at my girlfriend's place before the event. That's where my PS3 is set up. My new place will get Internet installed in the first week of February. Fibre better be worth the wait... EDIT: I'm going with the Sultan, just because nobody else will. Maybe I'll get a class win for my signature this way. It will probably be my blue 555 WRC replica, rather than this tarmac Lancer EVO version. (Look how good Tuner wheels look on it, btw.)

dawsonlkol01 remember PS3 cannot use PS4 tracks. (PS4 can use PS3 tracks, with up to 16 players.)
