Might be, but in that case they could have just asked for the LC mod to be taken down, not the modding tool as a whole.

I wonder what are the chances of a new modding tool being created. Cause I am pretty sure modding has been protected by US courts, but the openiv guy lives in russia.

FiveM can't get C&D because it's open source, unlike OpenIV.

Wonder if FiveM is gonna get another one as well I think only specific servers would be shut down, i.e. servers that must be bought to gain access. Even then I'm not sure

When it comes to drip feeding content, that doesn't give people an excuse to mod the system to get the cars early. You don't go into a shop demanding to know the future prices and quality of future stock.
However if you don't like a business model, you can refuse to shop there. We live in a capitalist world, vote and control suppliers with your wallet, not with your hacks.

Well Rockstar could just release all the new cars at once to prevent from this.
But obviously, it's all about that sweet money and tricking people to buy sharkcards

It's their game, their property. They can do whatever they like with it. If you want a real car but don't think it should cost that much do you just take it anyway? No, because that's theft. How do you stop take two from using this business model? You use your free speech to tell them and all other customers how awful it is and and refuse to give them any money until it changes. When their sales drop, then you've won.

Rip to editor videos, the r* editor without the openiv free camera is shit, it has all the tools needed but they capped the range to potato, R* could simply unlock it themselfs and give a warning about render distance decay.. sigh

We live in a capitalist world, vote and control suppliers with your wallet, not with your hacks. Except that your analogy is slightly off. If I took your example, it'd be more of a client asking for the price and quality of what is already in sale but unavailable at this time, rather than what will be in stock in the future, because the cars are already in the game. Just inaccessible. While I understand their bullshit excuse of a "it's our game" and the fact that they do that only to trick people to spend all their money on what is released at th start only to try and force them to buy sharkcards to buy what is dripfed later on, it definitely also gives an excuse for players to mod the game to see what cars are going to be released in the same update, so they don't end scammed by the company they actually trusted to provide hours of entertainment when they bought the game. It's true, if you don't like a business model, you can refuse to shop there. Except that, well, we all already bought the game, so it's a bit late for that, and we can't do much else for now.

But you didn't buy this content. You bought the base game. My analogy wasn't designed to be identical, merely to imply that just because you want it, does not automatically mean you're entitled to it. You don't have the right to hack/mod the game to do what you want with it. A sensible publisher who isn't all about money would allow players to do this. Bethesda forced steam last year or so to charge for mods. Steam realised it was a bullshit idea so pulled it. What have Bethesda done? Created their own paid for client to install mods on, you know that free nexus app that's been around for ages but Bethesdas Shitty version announced at E3. It's all a way to suck as much money out of your pockets as possible. As a community we need to stop buying their crap and justifying these methods. Play their game, play the shit out of it, but don't give them anything for DLC. Bullshit like destiny where the game only becomes any good if you buy the expansion. To be honest, they don't deserve anyone to buy the add on, but they got lucky that it was any good.

Hello everyone, (This post will also be in my own thread about avoiding money). As of today, major trainer developers have recieved the cease and desist and thus have stopped development. You should be free of modding in GTA Online when the next game patch comes out. Sources: DatSaintsfan's most recent video, ForceHax website.
