Just did Chopper Tail solo. I took my time getting to the Dune Buggy as well as getting the Granger to Trevor. The mission took, I'd say, roughly about 10 minutes for me to complete. Got $22,000.

Try it as fast as you can now and see how long and how much? Just did Chopper Tail solo as fast as I could. I spawned at Trevor's trailer and it only took me about a minute to get to the Dune Buggy. Rather than driving the Dune Buggy, I drove my Benefactor Schafter. I timed the mission with a stopwatch (on my cellular telephone) and it took me roughly 7.5 minutes. And I got ... roughly $13,000. The time before of 10 minutes I posted must have been about 15 minutes.

If I'm honest you should be rewarded for finishing missions quickly instead of slowly.I don't see why being fast should be punished and being slow rewarded.

So I'm guessing its still better to do some missions faster and more frequently than waiting around to receive a big payout

Thanks Andy... So I'm guessing its still better to do some missions faster and more frequently than waiting around to receive a big payout No prob, my pleasure! And it's up to you, really. I find that when I'm doing a mission solo, I'll plow through it and get it done as fast as possible. However if I'm doing a mission with other players, I'll take my time and goof off xD. I'd recommend taking a bit longer (a few more minutes, at least) doing missions. More money for less work!

Somebody dug through the game code to figure out how mission payouts work.
Contact_Mission_Cash_Time_Period_1_PERCENTAGE = 0.1f; Contact_Mission_Cash_Time_Period_2_PERCENTAGE = 0.25f; Contact_Mission_Cash_Time_Period_3_PERCENTAGE = 0.5f; Contact_Mission_Cash_Time_Period_4_PERCENTAGE = 0.75f; Contact_Mission_Cash_Time_Period_5_PERCENTAGE = 1f; Contact_Mission_Cash_Time_Period_6_PERCENTAGE = 1.2f; Contact_Mission_Cash_Time_Period_7_PERCENTAGE = 1.4f; Contact_Mission_Cash_Time_Period_8_PERCENTAGE = 1.6f; Contact_Mission_Cash_Time_Period_9_PERCENTAGE = 1.8f; Contact_Mission_Cash_Time_Period_10_PERCENTAGE = 2f; CONTACT_MISSION_CASH_PLAYER_MULTIPLIER_1 = 1f; CONTACT_MISSION_CASH_PLAYER_MULTIPLIER_2 = 1.1f; CONTACT_MISSION_CASH_PLAYER_MULTIPLIER_3 = 1.2f; CONTACT_MISSION_CASH_PLAYER_MULTIPLIER_4 = 1.3f;
each class 'Contact_Mission_Cash_Time_Period_X_PERCENTAGE' is 1 minute. 5 minutes gives 100% mission payout. Missions cap out at 200% mission payout for 10 minutes.
From the testing I have seen prior to this discovery, mission length over 10 minutes results in exactly the same 200% payout, which lines up with, and helps verify, this discovered code.
each class 'CONTACT_MISSION_CASH_PLAYER_MULTIPLIER_X' is a regarding how many players are in the mission. R* was transparent about this part and the math is easy to see. every additional player in the mission gives 10% up to an extra 30% with 4 players.
So do with this what you will.

Parachuting mission Gauntlet is paying around $ 3150/min this weekend. Don't think we will be seeing such high payouts until the next event.

I've discovered a good mission to do that requires ZERO ammo and rewards pretty fair.
As with all missions, you'll...
-Pause -Online -Jobs -Host Job -Rockstar Created -Missions
The mission you'll want to choose is "Gentry Does It" from your dear friend Simeon. This mission can be done by up to 4 players, but can easily be done solo. All you do is drive to Gentry Manor, repossess 2 vehicles, and deliver them to Simeon. Now, when doing this solo, you can only take one car at a time (obviously). So take one, hide and evade your two star wanted level, park the car on the street, and go get the second vehicle.
I timed myself doing the mission and it took me 8 minutes and 36 seconds to do it. Payout was $13,020. As I had mentioned beforehand, the payout is pretty fair and you don't need to waste a lot of bullets doing it! :-)

I, on average, get about 13.5k for Rooftop Rumble, I hate the mission but the motions are easy. I always use a Buzzard since update 1.13 so it only takes about 3-4 mins to complete and I can do it 8 times an hour if I am bothered.
Also when I'm just not bothered I do Simeon missions since having two vehicles extends the time it takee and easily gives me 14k for 7mins of mission
---
It does irk me that people just wait out missions like this to get more money I really don't like this system. LSC should pay a lot cause it has a lot to do, not cause it takes the most time.
