Just seen this over on gta forums and thought it was pretty epic. It will never happen but it can't hurt to at least think about it. It looks like Las Venturas could be a bit bigger though. Think of all the new track possibilities?!?! Before anyone says anything. Yes I know it's a photoshop job, cutting and stitching together pieces of the original map and we've seen it done before, but this one is done really well and I was very impressed. Here's an even higher res version to zoom in on ---> www.davmi.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/gta-v-san-andreas-map.jpg

This map is so beautiful and detailed, it's easy to lose yourself in this imaginary world just by looking at the map. But even still, GTA 5 is already pretty big. I've been playing this game constantly since launch and I still can't say that I know the map perfectly or that I know everything about the game. We could do a map knowledge contest sometime.

Thanks for pointing that out axdsilva, but like I said, we've seen loads of these before and I believe that this is the best one yet because of it's high level of detail. Some of them that you linked and the ones in that thread are cool though. And as renegade said, you can very easily get caught up just looking at it, imagining how it would look in game and the possibilities for new stories, game modes, races, characters and vehicles to fill the world. Let's not forget that R* did say that they plan on adding new worlds/maps to GTAO in the future. I doubt they would do it this way. It would most likely be on separate servers that you access by getting on a flight at the airport. Book a flight on your phone, arrive at the airport terminal and off you go. I highly doubt PC, PS4 and Xbox One could support a world of this size on one map even with their increased power

Yes, this one is really one that gets the blood going when you look at it, it does make you envious just seeing the fact there's more than one city and loads of potential space for shenanigans of all types and sizes...

just on a note, that ifirst image is cut off for some reason, it actually connects to LS in the south, but it can be found on page 45/46 of the thread link I posted so you can see for yourself

Would love this so much… If you were in another city you generally feel you would have to get at least a helicopter.
Or imagine if you got that bug you sometimes get when you die in a mission and you spawned in the north east of the map and had to do something in Los Santos "… bollocks"
I'm still praying they repurpose Liberty City. I know I could pop in GTAIV, but I want all the online extras, but I wanna go back to LC.

I read even further into the original thread and found an even higher res version to zoom in on (added it to the OP). Once you get that close you can really see the copy and paste and some colouring in to blend some areas. Still, you get to explore this world even more now.

Yeah it is more obvious, but it also shows the level of dedication. Those images came from Google Maps most likely considering that the actual layouts are actual satellite images of SF and LV
If only this were the actual map, I could trace my steps and get a video recording system for my PS3 just to Youtube the path I followed to get his game, GTA style...
(well that's not entirely accurate, but I did visit all three cities in the one trip this January, and got GTA along the way)

I posted this here: nodo.freeforums.net/post/12629/threadWhen I first played GTA V I thought it was absolutely massive and awe-inspiring. It reminded me of the first time I played San Andreas, or Skyrim. Now after completing the single player game twice, including a 100% playthrough, getting a platinum trophy for it, and putting countless hours into the multiplayer, I feel like the size of it has been reduced because of how much I know the map now. Seeing this one with three new cities just makes me drool with the possibilities, and then feel sad that it probably will never ever happen. This is the game I want. I can only imagine how wonderfully atmospheric the drive would be through the desert.

I didn't notice you already posted in @driftin. That's not a thread i've been keeping up on. I haven't quite done that much of the game but I see your point about it feeling smaller than it did.
