I just got a message that I have to take care of my little sister this evening which means that I probably can´t make it to the race today.
Sorry for the late heads up, I hope I can still make it home before the race but I wouldn´t count on that.

Hi guys, I am concerned about the driver count for Saturday's race. Just a heads up to all that changes to the pit lane will be made to Redwood Superspeedway in preparation for the upcoming season finale, they should be completed by the end of the day on Sunday.
I'm gonna rush the committee to get official results out quickly; I'm hopeful that not too many referrals will be received.

Sorry, this post does not include official results or any driver instructions for race 8 just yet. Those will be made available soon. Changes were made to the pit lane for race 8, and also the walls on corner exit were adjusted to prevent any significant wall-boosting from occurring.
I am writing this post, however, to invite current and past participants in this event to use this thread to discuss the possibility of a Broughcar season 3. Suggestions on track/car choice, the day of the week and time of day to host, race format, and the like are greatly appreciated. In about a week this thread is getting thrown the complete section to be forgotten and I'll be off probably taking an extended break from the game so I'd like to get as much input on season 3 as possible before then. Depending on player interest, I would like to host a season 3 of this event sometime at the start of 2018.

Suggestions on track/car choice tracks: would like to see lifeinvader speedway & bc indy special again road courses, are they really necessary in this series ? there are like 1000 other events for them .. cars: turismo r & ruiner needs a comeback and please add the phoenix !  |

Post-Race Investigation Results - GalantEvo will be issued a 15-place grid penalty for 2 instances of dangerous driving and failing to make three mandatory pits. This driver will be docked 15 points in the drivers' standings if he does not serve this penalty in race 8. |

Driver Instructions for Race 8 Track LimitsParticipants may not place more than two tires on the flat part of the track to gain an advantage. (Using the flat area to dodge a crash or take a pit is okay.) The below picture demonstrates two tires being placed on the flat:  PittingThe pits open on lap 3/65. Pitting on the last lap is allowed. Remember that the pits close when the safety car is deployed, and are re-opened by race control during the safety car period. Participants must keep 10 laps in between their pits and make three of them during the race--so pitting on laps 33, 43, and 53, is an example of a valid pit strategy. There are two pit lanes on the track; the left lane is the slow lane:  Participants should use the apron in turn 2 when blending back onto the track.  -The halfway point is reached when the leader starts lap 33/65-You do not have to respawn while in the pits. Safety CarThe following participants may deploy the safety car for this race: key esquz The safety car is deployed if any of these participants types "sc" in the chat. Blue FlagsBlue flags start when the leader reaches lap 53/65. Though lapped participants do not have to yield to the leaders before this point, it is advised that participants do so anyways if they (are about to) fall 2 or more laps down to the leader for the sake of preventing dangerous situations from arising on the race track. If a participant is in doubt over whether another participant nearby them is a lead lap car or a car they are racing for position, it is better to play it safe than sorry and let the other participant by--ignoring blue flags usually results in disqualification from the race. Blue flagging will likely be a difficult task at this track. Listen to the directives given by the participant lapping you. When in doubt, stay to the outside of the track. Penalty ReportThe following participants have outstanding grid penalties. Participants should be careful when racing around participants in either of these two teams. Additional DirectivesALL participants (including reserves) currently signed up for race 8 are to let the event host know ASAP whether they will be able to attend this race. Participants with a history of no-showing who decide to no-show this race may be referred to crew higher-ups for additional disciplinary action. |
