Well league start is 18.th september. A match every week unless someone really badly needs additional time. That would cause some small delays between rounds but hopefully with discord I can communicate with everyone faster.

As for group stage and playoffs, yeah big changes probably.
I'm planning to do some more advertising (my signature is about to become an advertisment, oh god what have I become). I'm hoping for everything to be clear a week before this starts but signups will still be open so there might be some surprise last week signups.

So far my group stages/playoffs system is based on the amount of participants
If xbox get enough signups, then they are going to have their own championship co-hosted by RJSlow (haven't talked to him yet but he offered help a few days ago).
I'm not counting xbox teams for the big actual tournament. Which means that the team amount for now is 12.

If it stays at 12 teams:
Group stages will be a round robin system featuring 3 groups of 4 teams. One bye round will be rewarded to each winner of each group in the playoffs. The fourth will be awarded to whoever has the most game wins (its a BO5 for groupstages), excluding the 3 winners. If there is a tie between two teams, then we will look at goals, so consider screenshooting the results. Thats the 4.th bye round sorted out. 
Why bye rounds? Because double elimination doesn't work well with 12 teams, and I don't want people to be eliminated too soon. I'd rather reward than penalize people. In the brackets, the best in group stages will fight the worst etc. normal stuff.

If it rises up to 14 teams, then perhaps I'll just start the playoffs instantly without group stages and I'll probably reward last seasons winners with bye rounds. Defending champions kind of reward (with Darn casually sneaking in) (TMA didn't get a reward last year so why not lul). This sounds lazy, but I can't find a good short groupstage system that would work well. Round robin won't work, 14 is an awkward number for equal groups, making only 2 groups of 7 possible, which a bit too many rounds for me because playoffs will already be slightly longer this season.

If it goes to 16 (best case scenario): I'll probably keep the swiss system to avoid unnecessary changes, however you won't get eliminated from it anymore, probably going to be only used for seeding purposes. Not sure if I should limit the amount of rounds played in the swiss system, but I know I want a maximum of 5 rounds. Winners would take an early break for 2 weeks with a 3-0 scoreline and same for the people at the bottom with 0-3.

I had to kind of rush typing this cuz I have plans, but if I missed anything tell me. If I'm a big retard, everyone should feel free to talk shit to me and my hosting skills. My teammate key has been doing that for 1 year already and its great.

10 days left is still quite some time, but I'd love to have colours and name finalized soon though, because well, this thing will actually start soon
