In this instance, the track was made specifically with track limits being enforced during the event it was being used in. The slow strips offer an immediate penalty for exceeding the track's defined limits without needing to ask the event organizer about it every time it happens. I don't intend to use it on anything where it really isn't needed (mostly thinking to use it to stop people from cutting straight through chicanes without needing to use visible and ugly apex barriers). Some concerns; It's a huge disadvantage if you aren't an amazing racer, I make mistakes a lot as do others and the dirt alone is a punishment. Rejoining after a corner at well below race pace is dangerous as even if you give room, the other racers have a lot of speed on you for all of the short straight. If you're battling with someone closely and the person in front steps a tyre wrong they've just unintentionally brake checked the person behind which can end in a pile up if it's in a pack. Battling side by side as I've mentioned sometimes uses a bit extra track as none of us are professional racers. Another battling issue is if there's latency and your car is shown wider than it actually is it can force someone off the road unintentionally, vice versa if there's latency for a car that is unintentionally pushing you wider. From what we have seen in many instances yesterday the slowdowns can cause a lot of issues. They are good for non-contact as the car won't be damaged, but it is so abrupt and strong that it often takes following people by surprise, just like someone crashing into an apex barrier would. Slowdowns are a tiny bit better in the regard that they don't damage the car, also the first car wouldn't get quished between the barrier and the second car, that can't avoid it, but this stuff still has its surprise factor. I'd rather block off these areas, if possible.

Well bladecruiser you should consider taking out the tire wall on the last corner (only if you keep the strips) to give more recover/speed up room to those caught by the strips. I saw several accidents caused by people literally crawling their way back on track, straight on the racing line, where those who took the corner perfectly get slow-down-stripped by a prop called bad track reentry. Then they should have waited for the track to clear before trying to re-enter. You don't just dive back onto the track into a pack of cars and expect it to be alright, you can't do that here either. Blade's track is definitely not for the faint of heart. It's a serious track that requires practice. That said, I loved it. I like the use of the slow strips, though the pit exit is a bit concerning. I don't think we'll see this sort of application very often. The strips aren't used on every turn so it's not as though it's going to happen often. Not every turn is one that can be taken two-wide. Just view the turns with slows strips as one of those turns, or be extra cautious when entering the turn with another car beside you. I'm really excited to see what our talented track creators can piece together with this update. This exactly. On the pit lane - yea, I'm going to be taking the second slow strip out of it and make sure that the initial one is on the lowest setting possible. It seems to really bog down cars that don't have full upgrades or aren't traveling at full speed when you hit it, so it's causing issues with cars stalling.

I get your point blade. And I agree but you have to realise that the strips even on weakest setting slow you down so much, its difficult to time your reentry right as you can't properly accelerate while your car is still on the strips and there's little vision for oncoming traffic. Surely you can see that a longer run off of the track to get back to speed and then reenter is a welcome safety measure here.

The black tire walls cover and block a bunch of destructible shit that I can't get rid of. I don't want a bunch of fences and stands and chairs and logs out in the road because of a mistake, so it's either wall that whole turn, which ruins it visually, or put in the slow strips, which doesn't.

Santos Short track fridays So after a successful test run and a positive feedback from everyone, I have decided to take Fridays on a bi-monthly basis (So 2 weeks per playlist, starting next week 12/08) So for everyone who doesn't know, the PL basically is composed of a playlist with 3 tracks, with each of those tracks having a lap time under 40 seconds, such a short track means you are constantly battling to win time on others, making really exciting races. For each week I'll try to create 3 tracks for the playlist, but everyone is welcome to send tracks for the playlist they just need to be under 40 seconds lap time (under 0.7 miles) I'll announce the restrictions for the playlist some days before, just in case its needed to get a specific vehicle. Well hopefully I'll see some interesting tracks made by you guys, see you next week.

My track isn't on there, likely because I just left the crew to free that space. But since I just hosted an event on Bravado National Club and it fits the criteria, I think it should be on that list.
