I think there should be a pit window or lap minimum so people don't lump their pit stops one after another

BROUGHY MADE A DECISION NOW LET'S STOP PLEASE BECAUSE IT HAS NO POINT ANYMORE ANY BY THIS POINT YOU GUYS ARE JUST ONE UPPING EACHOTHER WHOEVER HAS A LIFE WITH LESS FREETIME.Let's talk about pits. How many? How long? Or just drive through?Imo I think they should be longer than they usually are in other events because the races are 1 hour and a half and people usually need to drink or even have to go pee or go get something. Pitwatcher will be very useful. My man if you don't have those engineer straws setup into a 2L of mtn dew and a nappy that is you not being adequately prepaired Hell yeah! Tbf I don't need anything, but a good sip of water is great at times. Can you post a picture of such an engineer straw setup thingy? Research reasons... I hate all types of fizzy drinks though... Edit: Nvm, you edited your post

My opinion, no. Why? Because it causes people to have less battles and makes races less interesting. Edit: ignore this, didn't realize there were gonna be pit stops this season :derp:

I'd like at least 30 second pitstops tbh, 90 mins of racing and 90 seconds of pitting. (3 stops) Pit windows can work, but probably for each class itself imo, so example Gt1, laps 7-10, GT2, laps 11-14, Gt3, laps 15-19. And have it repeat the full race. Just an idea to keep track of the pitlane while it doesnt crowd up with 10 people across 3 classes.

The whole point of the event is "muh endurance race" and not having pit stops ever kinda detracted from the race imo

I think there should be a pit window or lap minimum so people don't lump their pit stops one after another Naah. If I want to pit on lap 2, 3 and 4, then I should be allowed to do so. I take the risk of having to drive a mistake free race over 90 minutes in order to may benefit from having clean air. My opinion about it pit stops: - Not on the first or last lap - 2 or 3 stops, both works nicely in 90 minute races; personally I prefer 3 which worked nicely in FAEC - No pit windows, let people pit when they want - Definitely stopping for a pit stop - maybe 20 seconds? Worked also nicely in FAEC

Regarding the issue of setups/freedom of LSC mods The MCEC was born from the idea of bringing something akin to the world endurance championship to GTA. That's a championship where BOP (balance of performance) is rife, essentially making cars slower than they would otherwise theoretically be able to go in the interests of keeping different makes of car on the same pace. A ferrari 458 getting the same lap times as a porsche 911 for example despite being completely different cars. In addition to that the WEC runs races with multiple team members per car, so there's never going to be a setup on the car that suits one driver in particular - the best setup that suits them all as well as possible, though not ideal for any individual, is what they go with. So from a theme perspective comparing it to F1 is not correct, and the theme of the event lends itself to restrictions on cars.
In addition, the argument regarding making cars feel better to drive doesn't hold much water either. Drivers will be in 10 different cars throughout the course of the championship and some they'll like to drive and other they won't. Some will suit their style and others they won't. The whole thing with the championship is being able to adapt to different classes, different cars, different tracks, and different situations. Adaptability and racing ability when in the race is more important than outright pace in most instances, and the quickest drivers will rise to the top regardless. Like the WEC, the MCEC is more about racing well than racing at maximum speed 100% of the time (again, it's nothing like F1 in that respect and is why we have other F1 style championships).
However I believe there is value in allowing drivers to feel like they have some control in how comfortable they can make their car. Whilst MCEC has always attempted to be closer to a spec series with drivers in equal machinery, drivers should have some freedom in what they can do to make themselves perform at their best.
Therefore car setups will be allowed, but only within a certain window. Some modifications will be restricted in the same style as BOP restrictions in the WEC, but others will be open and free to be tinkered with. The exact specifications of which modifications will be restricted will be explained at a later date and may also be car specific, but that isn't something that should be discussed here. It will be decided and drivers will have to adapt accordingly. The better drivers will be those who can adapt to the situations better. It will likely be that all teams will have to run full car team colour neons and we'll have specific wheel choices (or even a spec wheel option for all classes (again this is similar to endurance racing where some cars perform better on michelins in the WEC but the same car doesn't do as well on Dunlops over in the US)) but suspensions, body and spoiler options will likely be mostly open.
So it's not as restrictive as season three, but not as open as seasons one and two. I think this is a good compromise which allows for some control to be given to drivers whilst keeping in line with the theme and ethos of the championship as a whole.
So that's the decision made on this. I'll get back to others questions later as I'll have to sift through the thread again, but as mentioned in the first post let's not start debating this now that the decision has been made. If anyone is unhappy to race in this way let me know and I can remove you from the signup list, otherwise I'm open to hearing any other suggestions for the championship unrelated to this. I appreciate all the debate on this topic and it has helped with the decision making. Thanks.

Do we have a time schedule for saturdays. Will xbox go before PC again because the times surely will affect if people can actually join and maybe some will retract thier sign up.
