Come on down to the Chiliad logging district, Hayes Auto Body Shop and Ragga Rum are hosting a grand opening party for Steve’s Sasquatch Pursuit, the newest racetrack opening up in the area! Everyone joining the event will be driving the illustriously beautiful Drift Tampa in an hour long endurance style event.
Since Atomic Tire is Hayes Auto Body Shop’s main provider they will be providing every driver with slicks to run on their cars for the day. This means that every car on the grid will be running the same tires (Stock). Please take note you are able to change the color of these stock wheels using the iFruit iOS or Android phone app OR follow these directions to bypass the app should you feel so inclined.
SIGNING UP
The sponsors have decided to engage in a cordial rivalry on this day, with drivers representing either Hayes Auto Body Shop or Ragga Rum.
When signing up, please specify which livery you would like to exhibit and you will be entered into your respective team’s roster as well as a driver number you wish to be identified by. You are free to further customize primary and secondary colors to your liking. At the end of signups both teams will be even so each spot is first come first serve.
Come on down to the Bayview Lodge 30 minutes before the event starts (6:30pm UTC) to get your car inspected before the event and to enjoy the other cars being submitted in the event! Take notes on which design is your favorite, because after the race is done and positions are settled, Ragga Rum will be breaking out the beverages and the afterparty festivities will begin! The highlight of the afterparty will be a beauty contest featuring every car on the grid. Voting will be held on the forums with a winner being announced after two days of the polls being open.

Full Blue Flag Rules are in effect!
Curb Boosting: This event will follow the one boost per straight rule. Drivers are allowed to leave the racing line once per straight to acquire a boost. This count does NOT reset while going across the finish line. A boost is constituted as traveling onto and off a curb.
Pit Stops:
The organizers of this event have decided to implement a mandatory 2 pit stops each driver must take throughout the race.
- Both of these pit stops will be drive through, no respawning required.
- There will be no pit stops allowed in the first 5 laps. On lap 6, you may begin taking your required pit stops.
- There is a mandatory 5 laps between pits, meaning if for instance you pit on lap 35, your pits will reopen on lap 40.
- There will be no pitting on the last lap.
- Each driver must call out his pits either vocally over Teamspeak (i.e. “Steve pit 1”) or through ingame chat by typing the pit stop number you are completing so that the chat appears accordingly; “SteveJEVVBZ: 1”.
If a driver neglects his pit requirements he will be rewarded with a 30 second penalty added to his total race time for each pit missed (2 in total). Positions will be adjusted accordingly.

FPS Limit: Participants will be asked to limit their FPS either internally or externally to 60. This is in concious effort to more or less create a level playing field for all drivers.
We will be racing on the new and illustrious Steve's Sasquatch Pursuit. This flowing track is perfectly suited to having a great time in the Drift Tampa, with long swooping lines and dramatic elevation changes. You'll be on the edge of grip and your seat the entire time! Here's a simple walkthrough of the track to get a feel for it.
