I know there are a few cars in particular that are used in racing these days, I'm just wondering if I actually need to have any ones in particular. For Supercars I have: Zentorno, Adder, and the Cheetah. Sports: Sultan, Feltzer, Elegy, and I'm currently saving up for the 9F. I'll also be saving up for the Turismo.

You don't have to have any cars.I'd recommend buying the RC massacro and jester and the top cars from other classes if you haven't got them e.g zion, dominator, rhapsody etc

You'll want at least 1 of each class Super: Entity/Zentorno/Turismo R (Infernus if you're confident but it isn't the fastest) Sports:Elegy RH8/Feltzer/Jester RC/massacaro RC (9F if you're confident) SUV: Huntley S Sedan: Schafter Coupes: Felon/Zion Muscle: Dominator/Blade/Dukes Sports Classics: Z-Type/Piggale Compact: Rhapsody (Panto/Prairie and Blista all have their uses but Rhapsody is the best all rounder) docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nQND3ikiLzS3Ij9kuV-rVkRtoYetb79c52JWyafb4m4/edit#gid=1687911233 this is my reference. I think more people would race Offroads if it weren't for how OP the Sanchez is. My preference is the Dune Buggy or Bifta but the Sanchez is so much faster unfortunately.

Jimbob has it right. Those are the cars you want in your garage. I would not worry about offroads, motorcycles, vans, or utilities though. All those classes rarely get raced. Besides there will always be that one asshole who does not get the message that you are not using the Sanchez or the custom vans/utilities.

If you have everything under control, you're not going fast enough.

One thing I would recommend when buying your cars to race is to buy the ones you enjoy to drive, not just the ones with the fastest times.

I love the Fugitive Sedan, and I was going to use it instead of the Schafter, but then I found the Schafter and found I liked it better . I'll probably end up using the Cheetah in super races cause that's my car. Not the fastest but it'll do whatever you want it to.

The Ruiner will do you well in the muscle class, as will the Massacro in sports. It ain't quite the RC Massacro, but it ain't no slouch either.

You're gonna need a pink Faggio as well. Now I know what you're thinking, but seriously, does this look like a face that isn't serious? --->

I recommend a Bati 801 as well. It does not have to be the sponsored version as they have identical stats. Motorbikes get raced quite often and for $15 000 (+mods) why not have one? The Akuma is not bad either but I find it cant turn a corner anywhere near as crisply as a Bati.
As for offroad racing, my fully suped up Dune Buggy carves up the dirt bikes. Given they my not be the best racers all the time, but not often people upgrade their Sanchez. Modded Buggy > Stock Sanchez.
Also, I thought the Monroe was fairly competitive in Sports Classics? I rarely race them and dont have the money for them yet so I dont really know...

Hmm i say use what your most comfortable with. But of course keep in mind that the middle to lower end of car classes are not going to be competitive even if your perfect with them. Balance between what you can handle and what works best for your driving style is key to having fun. Picking the best car because it has the best time can and will work against you if your not tuned into how that car works.

Race whatever you like. But if your goal is winning, you will need to race one of the competitive cars in the class. I keep a Coquette in my garage because it's so sexy, but I'm fairly sure I've yet to win a NoDo race with it when I pull it out for fun.
