Just curious as to know how long some of you have been racing in this game. I've been racing since online was released, but not competitively until recently. Also, have you noticed if your racing skills have increased since you started racing competitively? I feel like I've gotten a bit better since I started, but I don't consider myself "good" yet.

I've been racing with randoms for the full year and some change, but I've only raced competitively for 10 and a half months. I've gotten insurmountably better regarding pace, consistency and race craft, but there were no huge breakthroughs at any point in time. It is nothing but small victories all the way, so don't expect an overnight success and keep chipping away at lap times.

I started playing GTA Online last summer, and I've been racing ever since I started playing online.

I play a lot of racing games outside of GTA. Forza mostly. As for GTA though, maybe about 30 hours?
I didn't play on PS3 or 360. I really got into the online game on my PS4. Got hooked and never really looked back. Once you have everything unlocked there really isn't much else to do but race and I'm fine with that because its a great racing engine.
Once I started taking note of the things that guys like Broughy and Shaggy have been teaching I do feel myself getting better and better.

I've only been racing on GTA since June, but most of my gaming experience has been with racing ever since I got Downforce on Gameboy Advance many years ago.

I've been racing in GTA V since Day 1 (at least IF I could actually get online because GTA was even more messed up then it is now). I did some racing a bit in GTA IV but not very much. Racing was literally the only thing I did in GTA V Online and it still is the only thing I do when I play that game. It really was never very challenging to win when I first started, idk... randoms aren't very good either. Anyways, I just raced and raced and raced until one day I came across the QUEEN OF NODO AKA CHERRY who pretty much pushed me to my limits and had me stunned because I'd never come across a random that could make me nervous. Anyways, after racing with her a bit more we became friends and I raced against other NoDos when I wasn't part of the crew and they were impressed. Eventually I decided to look for a racing crew and Cherry recommended me to this one and that's when I started racing competitively and became more well-known. I didn't know of any "Broughy" or that there was actually a racing community for the game. That's my story.
In case you didn't notice from the caps lock, I worship Cherry (newbies prob don't know of her)

I started racing when I got the game against friends and randoms.Started turning off catchup and slipstream around this time last year when I found Broughy's videos. Then started racing competitively about 7-8 months ago when I joined NODO.

I've been racing at a competative level for only a month or so, but a year-and-a-half of pure random racing. I started looking for a racing community when I finally found some randoms that were actually very good at racing and hosted a non catchup/slipstream lobby, which I liked. Problem is, ever since I joined NoDo, I find myself having less spare time to play GTA. So basicly I've gained shit all so far, with only about 20 races with NoDo-ers. Often found myself just taking the wrong lines or even crashing, because I don't know any of the tracks I get invites to.
So at this point I haven't learned much yet. I hope I can find some time soon to play a bit longer than 30 minutes after an exhausting day...

I've always loved racing, but never knew this sort of racing existed until around May, so before I was just doing races like Long Haul 2 with friends and randoms. I didn't join NoDo until October, but I found some people from between July to September to race with, about 10 or so of us that raced cleanly, although mostly non-contact at that time, but a people went back to school it was hard to connect through time zones and stuff. Then I found at NoDo actually had an xbox 360 side, so I joined up in October and ever since I haven't looked back

I started racing on this game as soon as GTA Online came out. It was only against randoms on easy tracks. But since I love the competitive aspect of video games, I looked for a crew which offers this kind of competition and joined NoDo around November 2013... so very very early

Joined online a week or two after its release because I knew the first few would be complete aids and was I wrong? Lol Pretty much slaying randoms since then, joined NODO thanks to Bunit back in either early December or late November. Had races with a few NODO but no real competition till a few names kept popping up in PL who would really push me and it was brilliant (ChrisDE22, Doodle, Zenzi, Shadow) and finally Zenzi persuaded me to join forums in like late Feb early March I think.
