Trying to join the PostOP Team on PS3 with penumbra, finding out what "saddle brown" means in german and contacting my team leader if it´s ok for him so you could possibly already add me to the PostOP Team. Done. Here's a link to the pic of the car if you want to see that it matches up: nodo.freeforums.net/post/2222/threadI have to say along with RON that's one of my favourite colour combinations.

Race driver has "Xero" worries SAN ANDREAS -- With only three days left before the Broughy Multiclass Classic, one driver has taken a different approach to preparing for the race. Photos obtained by Weazel News from the Lifeinvader page of Xero Racing driver Sarconic, show the driver inebriated at the Vanilla Unicorn during free practice. Weazel News reporter Alison Maybury reached out to Sarconic to ask why he was not taking advantage of valuable practice time.
"Look, when you reach a certain level, you don't have to attend every little practice. If other drivers need practice, fine, but I don't," said Xero Racing's Sarconic.
Sarconic was then asked if he was concerned about rainy raceday conditions after RON Racing Team driver dylansmaul wrecked during practice on a wet track.
"The only rain I know about is when I make it rain at the Vanilla Unicorn. HOODY HOO!"
Only time will whether the flamboyant driver's preparation routine will pay off.

BTW guys, the items I posted before and in the first post when it comes to modding your car (carbon stuff in certain places, etc) are just guidelines. If you think it will look better in a different way feel free to do that. As long as the cars match up within teams we're golden

Here is the issue, it takes 50% of the field to finish to start the 30 second timer. As soon as the 8th guy in a 16 driver race finishes, the timer starts. What is nice though is that the leaderboard keeps the racers in the order they were in even if they DNF. I'd say just race the race normally, otherwise it will be anti climactic. Instead of times, since we have teams this race can come down to points standings. ex: 1 point for 1st, 2 for 2nd., ... 16 for 16th place. The team with the lowest score wins. Points still count for drivers who DNF.
By the way I am sooo excited for this race! Its going to be awesome. Also I love the RON-Xero rivalry haha we need more rivalries

Broughy1322 Well, I think you would do your best to remember which position did you end up in. I don't think the lap 11 would be an issue, I count on people playing fair and not trying to cheat the finishing order. The issue would imo only be those split second finishes, where you want the game to tell you who won, rather than argue about it. I realize how would the "last Elegy waiting" technique work, but it would trigger with the first Penumbra anyway, and I don't think there's a chance of all Penumbras finishing within the time limit. You could have the Penumbras wait for each other too, but I think giving that extra lap is a more elegant option. Plue everyone should have be able to cross the finish line too. This isn't a random race, we can wait for the last person to cross the checkered flag, can we not? And maybe when you're figuring out the exact timetable, consider the pre and post race events. Since we're putting so much work in to make this whole thing more fun, we should take the time to maybe do some team introduction and things like that before the race and then put the winners on a stand, do some photos and perhaps an interview after it. And it would be a shame to see you run off to the other platform immediately after the race.

And it would be a shame to see you run off to the other platform immediately after the race. Hey man it is what it is. I only have a certain amount of time and I will divide it up equally. Those on the PS3 side have put in just as much work to make this a fun event too so they deserve the exact same time you'll get. If I have to leave straight away then I have to leave straight away. I'll do what I can but I'm not going to be giving any preference to either side here. This is also a crew event - you don't need me there to continue playing, getting photos, etc. I'll be at this for the best part of four hours on Sunday and the organisation beforehand is pretty time consuming too, so I'll decide how my time is spent. Sorry for the rant but that comment just irked me.

We're not going to wait another 6 minutes for Penumbras to get around another lap. In the WEC or any other multi-class event the race is ran and finishes when the first placed guy crosses the line. The guys in the lower classes just do less laps. So we're going to run the race normally and screw the timing for the Penumbras XD As for points, we'll have the usual 15 for first, 12 for second, etc, except that will get repeated for the penumbra class too (so 15 points for the winners of both classes). Add em up at the end and we're sorted. Amazing we even have this since I didn't plan on this being a team event either haha.

Well then you didn't understand what I wanted to say. It would be good if you could make the events separated by sufficient amounts of time so you can properly attend it on both sides. And honestly I want to watch the PS3 stream too. I will, if there will be enough time to end the Xbox side of the event properly, which is what I'm hoping for. I don't know about others, but I just have a sunday evening free. I'm not going into this expecting I'll be racing from say 9 to 10 and from 10:05 I have something entirely different to do...

Btw, there is a podium in-game you would just need a heli to lift the cars up there

I think Broughy's solution is ideal, just keep it simple and run as a normal race. In F1, if the safety car comes out on the last lap, then you're stuck in whatever position you were in at that moment. At least here the Penumbra drivers have the advantage of knowing when the race will end. Once you see 6 th or 7 th place cross the line, you know that the countdown timer is coming. Everyone knows exactly when the race will end, so it's fair game and you should be racing as if you were on the final part of the final lap. Once the countdown ends, it's like the SC was deployed and all positions were frozen. Everyone may have DNFs, but the leaderboard will be accurate. Just my $0.02. Also, RON sucks. :-P (I love rivalries too)

Fun thoughts/Predictions?
Will a Penumbra crack the top 8? Will anyone get lapped? Can an Elegy get a sub-5 minute lap?

Some say he doesn't believe that Australia is a real place and that he only recently realized that his car has brakes. All we know is, he's called Twilicane!
