UPDATE: The entry list has been changed, and an important poll has been added to the OP. Race Regulations are finally in the OP. Be sure to know them before the start. Reply or ask any quation about if you need. The rules about the start/finish procedure can be changed by your votes so give your opinion if you'd like to.

(Yes I know, I ask a lot, sorry!) What's the overall opinion on the weather type? When I tested it the other day it started raining which made it quite fun. It was a nice variation to the overall feeling. Or is it too hard for some vehicles to get round in the rain? To make it clear: Not trying to nitpick over every aspect just wondering and as far as I'm concerned everything can be just the way you'd like Alex

I have set the weather in the OP as clear but I would like myself to have current, so I'll explain why I did it. Time ago somebody told me that by using current, all the players in the entrylist must be in the prelobby, otherwise the weather switch would not be the same for all the players. Indeed during race1 of lildyl mcec somebody had visual only rain up to 12 players. I'm not sure but maybe the same player could have had a wet track without the visual presence of rain.. which is even worse. Today I had some practice for the satcc on current weather and everybody joined from their random sessions. When it started raining, it was so for everybody.. so I think that glitch really spawns when there is a common prelobby. So at the moment I am a little bit confused and I'm looking for information in the internet about this. Until I got things more clear, let's just choose the perfect race conditions. A solution might be: set the weather as current if all the entry list is in the prelobby, otherwise I'll switch to clear.

Don't know if it's true or not about everyone in the prelobby, but conditions should be the same for everyone indeed. Unless someone finds more info on this better be safe than sorry and keep it clear. I'll try to find more info on this too. Edit: I took the liberty of posting a question regarding the weather over at GTAF. Hopefully they can pricide us with more info on the subject. I'll keep an eye on it and report here if something comes up. Edit2: Seems to be a 1 in 1000 chance of different weather for one race happening, so we should be fine. Not gonna reproduce that thread entirely over here. Check the GTAF link if you'd like

I figured out as well that the problem was not so dramatic because I've found quite nothing about in the internet.

It would be nice to join this. But the Sultan Rallycross Tournament will properly intercept. There is also that small problem that I'm moving that weekend, so I'm not even sure I will have my ps3 rigged up :-( I might join in the last minute if a spot still is open and everything else works out.

Just as information to everybody else, Alex_Drastisch and I did a race yesterday with somebody else. We came from different lobbies, weather was set to 'current' and when it started raining, is was so on all our screens. Most likely the weather when set to current is based on the weather cycle of the host. The rare occasion that 1 person gets different weather must be a glitch happening on his side only. TL;DR: Current weather will be fine

Ok if you want I can make a raserves list about the rallyX don't worry, the two events will not overlap each other. I'm in the rallyX myself as well

PM me instructions so I know what I'm going to do! OK COOL! And so with those^^ last two A.S.I. can declare the Etnry for the Dakar Rally officially closed. Drivers can now join as reserves, spot 16 on the grid will be free just in case one of the reserves would join

- Settings: GTA mode (for start and pits), current time, slipstream off, catch up off, current weather (only if the whole play list is in the prelobby, otherwise clear) - Official Start/Finish line: at the tyrestacks just after cp68 - Start procedure: staggered start according to the entry list. 15 seconds gap between each competitor, 1 minute gap between each class. - Finish procedure: after hitting cp68 and crossing the line between the tyrestacks, competitor will park their vehicles on the landing strip and wait for the rest of the pack to conclude their race. Cheaters and trolls will be disqualified. - Timing: the starter will take the gaps at the official finish line. Gaps will be expressed in minutes and seconds. Decimals will not count like IRL Dakar - Safety and fair play: overtaking on the tight hill top between cp11 and cp13 is not allowed unless the vehicle in front falls over.- Contact not allowed: competitors must keep the right distance between them in any part of the track to not interfere with other competitors. Only clean overtakes will be allowed. Due to Respawn causing suspensions glitch, drivers hitting other vehicles causing them fall of a cliff, must wait until the crashing vehicle will be again in front of them. Nodo Racing Etiquette applies this event as any other in the crew. - Overtaking: only clean overtakes are allowed. In case of any kind of contact the vehicle attempting the overtake must go back behind and try again. Slower vehicles must not defend against faster vehicles. Slower drivers within the same class must keep the racing line and not interfere enacting obstructive defensive tactics. - Obstructive Defense not allowed: clear the way when possible in case of faster class vehicle approach. Keep your racing line in case of overtaking within the same class. - Tarmac section cp42 - cp43: the Seaview Road (Grapeseed) is to be used only before the bridge on the dike, where it presents no props and artificial obstacles. After the bridge, copetitors must keep the right and drive on the sea shore to reach cp43
