Any of those driven the Banshee able to get quicker than a 1:35 (or 1:38 can't remember) on Blaine and a 1:10 on cluck'n'bell? I have tried all the allowed cars and i am seriously off the pace with the Banshee :/ I've seen Fiyah get a 1:08 on Cluck and a 1:30 on Blaine. In fact I have a screenshot of the latter. Blade too has done 1:08s on Cluck. I've done about 7 laps in me Sultan and I'm doing 1:09's

Are you mid-drive boosting? not in my usual movement to tap/hold the handbrake after turning and when i do (listening for the right rev range) try it consciously it doesn't happen :/

I'm getting 1'07s in a Banshee. Getting the middrive boosts around turns where you aren't able to coast into them at high speeds is important. It gets you up to higher gears for the straights following the turns and have that much more speed into them.

Are there any rule changes or is it still allowed to pit in the first lap?

Are there any rule changes or is it still allowed to pit in the first lap? I hadn't thought about that rule actually. I think first 2 laps should be non-pit UNLESS you have a massive shunt and need to repair chassis damage such as a bent wheel or damaged spoiler.

Don't think you can damage a spolier on any other car than the T20, but I agree with the rule. It will be less chaos.

Announcement - FIA Media CentreDistinguished guests, media members, and drivers. As you know the FIA expects full compliance from its members with FIA Rules and Regulations. Earlier today, the Benefactor Motorsports Team self-reported a breach of Rule 5.1.9 - "Engine exhaust gases may only exit the cylinder head through outlets outboard of the cylinder bore centre line and not from within the chassis centre" Benefactor noted that a offset valve could channel exhaust gasses through the top of the rear diffuser when the engine exceeded 6,000 revolutions per minute. This was designed to alleviate pressure through the exhaust system and Benefactor assure us it was not an intended breach of the rules. However, the incident does give rise to a technical breach of Rule 5.8.2 - "Engine exhaust systems must have only tailpipe exits which must be rearward facing and through which all exhaust gases must pass." Benefactor did attempt to contest the technical breach by noting the broad exemption provisions under Rule 5.8.1 ("With the exception of incidental leakage through joints (either into or out of the system), all (and only) the fluids entering the compressor inlet must exit from the engine exhaust system") however that Rule only allows for an exemption for incidental leakages, not intended design. At this stage, the FIA is contemplating appropriate sanctions. Given that Benefactor self-reported the issue we are unwilling to penalise them too heavily. We note that the Pfister and Bravado factory teams have jointly called for the team to forfeit its points, and whilst we cannot categorically state the punishment we can state we will not strip the team of points. Please stay tuned for further announcements." So, yes. ovivoJR suggested this in order to make the playing field a bit more fair. We're looking at a way to achieve it, but a bit of dramatic flair always plays well. Especially with the usual motorsport politics of other teams trolling the affected one.

On Blaine NW, the GT Wing on the Pfister Comet - which all the Comet drivers but Chilli run for this track - can catch the road sign on Turn 1 and having done that once and seen the spoiler deform...

You can completely lose the back of the Osiris or Turismo and it behaves the same, but it's for you to decide the rules.

I think the point stands, though. If you car is damaged to the point of needing repairs in the first two laps, it's an exception to the rule and can be permitted.

Did a practice run alone today, trying to hotlap the BLNW in the Banshee. This is the result and I am pretty sure it's possible to shave off that 0.5 second to get the 1:27.
