Yeah, I've done a low 1:27 in the Comet. But I think for this and for Cluck'in Bell, people need to have an expectation of slower laptimes. For BCNW you would be probably getting 1:30 in the race, and given the track can cause upsets if you're slightly off the line through Grapeseed or the famous Chillifiyah chicane, any accidents will be disruptive to the race.
For Cluck'in Bell, there's few opportunities for a clean overtake. The first two corners are one, the third turn isn't really, but turns 4, 5, and 6 are. Plus the main straight. So if you're held up, or defending, you would expect a 1:10 laptime I think. I've done a 1:06 racing with Saber, and we both get our elbows out when racing but without causing massive shunts - but 1v1 is not 1 v 19.

Oh_Darn Superstepa_ @hiberg fab. ICEMAN ovivoJR" FIA Press Release - findings - Benefactor breach of FIA rulesFollowing the self-reported contravention of the Rules on exhaust systems, the FIA, Benefactor Motorsports, and Nutsaki Racing have met at the Benefactor corporate headquarters in East Vinewood to discuss appropriate sanctions. The FIA is satisfied that the breach remains technical in nature, and that the benefit gained by the distribution of exhaust gasses over the rear diffuser was sufficient to be advantageous though it not the result of intent or design. Benefactor proposed a solution for an engine mapping that would prevent the engine mapping from generating these high pressure gasses and releasing through the relief valve. This would not harm the competitive nature of the car and would also make the cars compliant with the rules. The FIA is satisfied with Benefactor's accountability over this issue, and pleased that Benefactor and its customer team were able to propose a solution that benefits the sport." So, in real terms - the Surano's pace is a bit quicker than the rest of the pack, so the Benefactor team have proposed to run the penultimate engine upgrade rather than the highest engine upgrade. Testing by ovivo, Iceman and OhDarn has yielded competitive results even with the downgrade. Superstepa, HiBerg - just FYI. I know you're retiring from GTA HiBerg and I assume that will mean OhDarn gets the race seat? It will just mean for round 3 - races 4 and 5 - Superstepa will need to tune the engine down. I really appreciate what you guys have done here though.

As frustrating this is, I'm going to have to have a reserve for tomorrow's races. My router is dying on me and doesn't let me stay connected for any period of time that's useful, and I'd rather not start a race that I know I'm just going to disconnect out of. I talked with MCaesar and he's agreed to step in for me for this week's races.

A 1:06 is quite a competetive laptime on Cluckin' bell right? That's what I've gotten in about 10 laps of practice in my Sultan. For BCNW I struggled to get below 1:30 but if I really push it, I can probably get a 1:28, but that's far from consistent..

!!BREAKING NEWS!! !!BREAKING NEWS!!
"We are here at Radio "Non-stop POP FM" Ready to transmit directly from BC North as a severe incident has struck Sprunk Racing"
"We are here at sprunk racing, sad to announce that Bendley wont be able to attain the race today. During Fridays practice session, out in Blaine Country, Bendley was testing out a new suspension for the race. As he turned into turn 6 his front-left suspension broke, which caused him to crash right into a Tree. Medical attention was on the spot, and was quickly helping Bendley out of the car. He was not able to exit the car himself, and needed to be put on a stretcher, and put on a medical helicopter, which flew directly to the LS Hospital. As os now we know that he recieved quite severe damage on his back and left leg, a medium cuncussion, which all needs to be taken serius. We're still unaware as of he can be back for racing after this accident. As of now we still dont know why the suspension suddenly broke as he turned in, but our theory is that there was a fail on the suspension from the manufacture. Us all here at Sprunk racing hopes everything well for Benley and hopes that he'll get well soon."
"The director of Sprunk racing, Chris Hornet has this to say about the incident": "Its was a nice sunny day out in BC for a test day and we were ready to make the last tweaks to the cars before the big races tonight. Unfortunatly Benley's Suspension broke as he turned into turn 6, which threw him right into a tree. We saw the accident from the pitwall and Arild and I was talking a bit about their expectaions for the race. As of last part of the Championship we didn't show our full potential, neither did we have luck on our side. Arild had some understeer going into turn 1 of BC South, which sadly ended up in him hitting a Pfister, which sent them both out of the race. But thats racing and past is past, now we have to move on and hope that Arild can hold the pase to the others, with his teammates crash in the backhead. We dont think that we would be able to get a reserve driver ready for tonight, but if someone should have a racing green carbon laying around and is ready to race alongside Arild, then we're ready for a standin for Bendley.
"Arild had this to say about the incident": "I went to the pit to get the car tweaked a bit, since I was having some severe oversteer coming into turn 11 which almost costed me a crash aswell. I went up to Chris to calm down a bit, since I almost sold the car to the barriers, and we talked a bit about what happend last race, and what he expected of me of the upcoming race. I sure didn't have a good weekend last time but I want to improve, and i have analysed what went wrong, and have been working hard to fix my mistakes. I hope that Bendley will get over his injuries as fast as possible and I hope that he can get to racing next time. I also want to apologise for hitting one of the Pfisters on BC South, coming into the first corner, it sent us both out of action and i take it all on my account."
"As of now we dont have a comment from Bendley since he's laying in the Hospital of Los Santos, but as soon as we can get an interview, we'll have it ready for you all"
"Thats all for today from your all time favorite host Cara Delevingne on this burning hot friday afternoon."

"Welcome back viewers, don't forget to tune in tonight at 10PM for the next round in the SA Touring Car Championships, always right here on Sky Sports! Just came across the wire, the SA Weather Service has warned the teams and marshals about a 60% chance of rain for the race tonight. I'm sure this will change the dynamics between rear versus all wheel drive touring cars. I imagine the fans in the uncovered bleachers are wishing they paid more for the covered bleachers. However the uncovered bleachers are closer to the parts of the track that tend to have higher crash rate in the rain.. may make for some exciting viewership. Before the race tune into our pre-race show to hear the latest on Benefactor's engine controversy. See you tonight right here at Sky Sports!"

Getting to actually battle against fab. ICEMAN on Cluck'N Bell was probably the highlight of this day's event for me, it was intense and really pushed me to my limit of control with the Banshee. It wouldn't have been such a tense battle if not for the voluntary downgrades by the Surano teams, which I am truly grateful to you guys for accepting in light of the advantages of the car on these tracks. Thanks again to endersai for running the event, it was a blast!

Agreed. The Benefactor engined guys did us all a big favour today and were still competitive. Much respect.
