I believe my first race was Lunar Loops PC with @hiberg I got left alone on a long scary track, HiBerg lapped me twice I think. To this day I think he might as well just stop and drift around me flipping me the bird (like 2 fast 2 furious "how you like them apples"). Wouldn't even be mad... it would be amazing ;]

Like many others, I mostly knew what I was getting into from watching Broughy's videos and streams before actually being able to race with the crew.
My first race was amazing and terrifying. I finished dead last with a nice big DNF on my screen, but I was hooked. I got to experience a couple battles with people that were much better than I was, but got complimented for my clean racing (taking the outside around the hairpin turning in towards Sandy Shores on Blaine County, then keeping the inside around the next turn, and keeping the outside around the last turn before the following medium-ish straight all without even rubbing paint with the guy beside me, who I would later learn is one of the faster PC guys). I was stoked the whole race which absolutely destroyed my concentration and eventually led to my utter failure at finishing. But it will always stick with me as one of my favorite races I've done with the crew just because of that experience.

One of my first races with nodos was not too long ago on a gp track around sandy shores, cant remember the name unfortunately, in supers and the first thing i noticed that i was TERRIBLE with breaking points (still am) and people sometimes hit me in the back where i didnt know if it was my fault for breaking too early or maybe there fault for breaking too late etc but im hooked and ill start to play in the pc playlist very soon - and im hoping for as little desync/fps stutter/teleporting as possible

I might aswell throw my first experience with NoDo in here.
Pretty much the same story as most; getting rekt. I remember one of my first races were with Twilicane back on X360. As long as I could stay close to him I could mimick his lines, but the moment I lost track of his moves it felt like I was standing still compared to him. Only times I got another glimpse of his car was when he had hit a pole or something, forcing him to stop. Fast forward a day or two to when I got to race a group of members... I got pwned right after the first corner. Managing to still see their cars was hell of an achievment for me.

My first experience of NoDo was today.
So I signed myself up for an Event (Midweek Race on the 360) it was an endurance race but the race was really not for me and nor was it for others clearly as the lobby started with 10 and finished with 5. I had problems with my battery which meant I got lapped x2 which probably didn't enhance my experience. But the players were friendly and chatted away. I also played some of the Zoo Playlist with some NoDo members which was more to my type of racing.

My memmory is a bit crap so the details are abit hazy. but I had my first race with nodo players last Tuesday on the North Loop track I think it was. I loved the track nad everybody was great, I came WAY in last but I did not expect anything more I was crashing into every corner it seamed and I was not at the top of the little ability I have But it was really fun and I look forward to do similar races again!

A long time ago, in a galaxy fa....well, in this galaxy but you get the point. I remember joining invites from CantDrive55Andy on a few of his very early tracks. I don't really remember any details of it, but that was pretty early on in my Nodo career. I also remember having a go at ♛ZeNzI23 for divebombing me, and then he blamed me for taking him out at the infamous corner cut between the wall and the lamp post on the old LSGP down by the newspaper offices. I think double_s92, Shred_Ninja and a few other daily racers were in that lobby as well. Racing with those guys on a daily basis was definitely a blooding in experience. I also very clearly remember thinking I had topped the old 'Hotlap Leaderboard' thread after only two weeks being here. Twilicane was at the top (what a surprise lol) with a 1.4something and the fastest I had posted so far was a 1.48 (still in the top 10 though). Two weeks later I post a time in the low 1.40s that topples Twilicane and thinking I'm Billy big balls over here, I brag about it but no one would believe me. Broughy1322, Trowa and some others went of to test what had changed because there was no way a noob could get that time. They were right lol As it turns out, the spoiler update had come in to effect. So I'd like the think that I (unintentionally) discovered the spoiler update Those are two of my earliest Nodo memories.

If I remember right I said something to the effect that there is no way after only 2 weeks you shattered his record but I didnt call you a noob . I went and set a 4:55 on the North Loop minutes after that though and that was the first sub 5min time

Trowa I didn't put quote marks because as far as I recall no one outright said it...I'm sure you were all thinking it though

I joined Wednesday and I gotta say I loved the first few races even tho there were people from other crews in it if I remember correctly. Still was a lot of fun tho just meeting and playing with people that just want to race. One scene comes to my mind where I just hit the brakes way too early, even cut someone behind me and he/she accidently knocked me off the road. Although it was pretty much my fault, he pulled over, waited for me and even let me go ahead of him. And I was just... shocked, I guess, by how nice people in this game/crew can actually be. I'll definetly remember that. Today or yesterday for some I participated in my first daily playlist, which was a lot of fun as well. I met some really nice people already and am looking forward meeting more. At the moment it's still quite difficult for me to get into any full racing lobbies besides the "official" events, probably because I don't have that many people on my friendslist yet. I hope that'll change in some way, because always racing with only 2-3 people isn't that much fun after all. Question: I noticed, mostly in custom races, that those 180° turns (demonstration: U ) are veeery difficult to properly drive for me. Are there any tips you can give me? Or even videos/guides about this? Thanks in advance

sacrumado: don't stick to the bumper of the guy in front of you on those turns, but take a line besides him. If he brakes earlier than you anticipate, you won't crash into him. Other key factor is your own braking point, but this depends on the track and car you're driving. If you have enough distance, try to copy the lines of faster racers (but this goes for all corners really)

Thanks in advance The u-turns are called hairpins (don't worry, i mixed up hairpins and chicanes when i first got here ) Here is what I do about tackling them: If someone is on your ass (literaly bumping into the back of you), you want to stay as close as you can to the inside of the corner, brake HARD, and exit through the inside as well. In short, go inside-inside-inside. If you are on your own, you want to carry the most speed, so you go outside-inside-outside.

You'll soon me friends with most of the regulars and will get more invites. Crew invites don't work very well.

November 2013 ... On a cold, rainy Wednesday night in Stoke Los Santos, I met and raced with dnf against some legends scumbags like double_s92, ♛ZeNzI23, ChrisDE22, Lupacia💕 and others ! Awesome moments !

My first time playing with NoDo members, I haven't even signed up in the forums yet. I was racing with ohhhmeqz green30machine and shortmachine10 and they were not having their best race as I was able to keep up with them. At the time, "I was thinking, eh, I can keep up with them, I must not be that bad." The very next race, a replay of the previous track, we played less laps and I still did not finish. Ever since that day, I focused a lot into getting faster and doing more hot lapping with NoDo members, other racing crews and randoms. I wouldn't say I'm on the best pace yet but I have gotten so much faster than when I started, and there is still even more room to improve. Racing with loonyyhd also helped improve my racing. Still get to hot lap with Meqz along with redlondon occasionally, looking forward to more clean contact racing, because contact racing is a whole different thing in itself.
