All I can say is try setting changes until something works to clear up the issue. It could be reflection quality, particles, grass, anything, that might make a difference. This stuff happens randomly whenever there's a new update, and other times the updates clear the problems. Just gotta go through your settings until you find the culprit.
A good thing to do outside of the game is to update graphics drivers, sound drivers, and other stuff you might have installed on your PC.

Looks like the graphics settings not effect the drops, I had them with everything turned to minimum. I'll check the drivers.

No, that's what I mean. My game runs better with some settings turned up rather than down. This game's fucking voodoo that it does to run so well at times on shit comps really plays havoc with trying to figure out which setting is the problem.

Some of my experiences on graphic settings in this game:
When i was finding out optimal settings i tried turning everything to High, except Textures and Grass, which i left at normal. In my experience it gives alot more stable framerate than low on everything and it looks amazing still. Also, if you're not already, play in fullscreen. It helps.
Also, if you have an AMD gfx card, try turning Tesselation off, it's an nVidia technology from the beginning and CAN (not will) give reduced performance on AMD cards. Worked for me on my old 7870.
Another question, is there a way to reduce CPU load? When i play normally, driving around and such, my CPU load goes to ~90% with only TS and GTA running and GTA takes up about 80% of that..

Another problem: I don't know how to test it. I just can't ask 20 players to help me test, and the problem is pretty rare... Like if I'm playing on the playlist with 20 people the issue isn't comming up, maybe for 1 or 2 races. But when it comes, it wont go away for a very long time. Any idea?

If it's only happening when a bunch of people are around, it is possibly a lag issue that's causing it.

Well being around many people is more taxing on the cpu and it might max out the usage causing the game to stutter for a while until the load goes down. That's an issue i have at times when i try to stream with OBS for example. The only solution to this i've noticed is to cap the framerate at 30fps, it reduces the load on your cpu, but u know, #pcmr and stuff..
The tesselation doesn't affect nVidia cards as much as it does with some AMD cards. So if you've got an nVidia card, then you don't need to worry too much about it.

Yesterday the worst was when the first checkpoint glitched out, (and not when Darn blew up everybody). Is there a way to fix it?

I like to race on gta, and when I do, I'd like to record my gameplay with OBS. Sadly, I can't, because my GPU can't really handle it. Do you guys have any tips on recording my gameplay, whilst mainaining a reasonable resolution and framerate?
