[...] This thread has been created to gain an initial indicator of interest and to sign up to show your willingness to participate. ... Saturday 9pm UTC: PC [...] Saturday 9pm UTC: PCYes, please. I look forward to taking part in any Crew Event and this timeslot would suit me ( 4PM my time). The only exception would be if I have to work any long Saturdays. This isn't common most times of the year but of course I would provide as early notification as I can. Worth noting that I'm a "scrub" so I am not vying for any championship status, just participation and a chance to race some great drivers.

Just want to mention that PC had Coupés on RON and it was probably the most boring race we ever had. Nobod wanted to race RON since that day. So you might want to think about using a diffrent class on RON.

Tampa is kinda expensive, might want to think about cost for taking part. MCEC has used either cheaper cars or expensive cars that the majority of people already own

So you might want to think about using a diffrent class on RON. Or quite possibly just a variation of RON. So instead of repeating tracks like previous season, variations may be played.

And rarely used cars provide a new experience and in most cases, more fun. I mean, its not that hard to do a couple of heists or missions to get the car for the next race if you're short on money.

I don't have a problem with it. But if you were going to use a 400k Tampa for 1 round, and then if you go by that mindset every round, it will add up. People want to be practicing for the MCEC not heisting to get the car for it. Expensive cars have been used but they've always been common cars. Start using Stingers, Tampas, etc. then the cost of taking part rises. And for some people it's hard enough to find time to practice for MCEC, so earning the money would just add another thing to do. I don't have any problem with expensive cars, and I'm also only signing up as a reserve, but for others it may be harder to find the time to practice and afford the cars. Just my two cents

Solution: Do heists and missions as soon as you sign up to make sure you have money for all dem cars. If you for some reason don't participate, you can have the moneyz for other stuffs! Win-Win.

It will ofcourse be harder for example for person A to find the time than person B. We do have about 2-3 months to get the cash together so I dont think getting a million or two shouldnt be too hard in three months.

Now here's my thoughts on the matter of which cars to use for the different GT's after reading others' suggestions for a few days. I'm still based on my same thoughts for which classes to use on which tracks, and my car choices are affected by that. SPORTS CLASSICS
| OFFROADS
| SPORTS
| MUSCLE
| SEDANS
| COUPES
| SUVS
| VANS
| COMPACTS
| SUPERS
| Truffado Z-Type
| COIL Brawler
| Benefactor Schafter V12
| Imponte Ruiner
| Karin Intruder
| Dewbauchee Exemplar
| Gallivanter Baller LE
| Declasse Gang Burrito
| Declasse Rhapsody
| Overflod Entity XF
| Declasse Mamba
| Canis Bodhi
| Invetero Coquette
| Declasse Tampa
| Cheval Surge
| Ocelot F620
| Fathom FQ2
| Bravado Paradise
| Bollokan Prairie
| Grotti Cheetah
| Declasse Tornado
| Karin Rebel
| Schyster Fusilade
| Albany Virgo
| Vulcar Ingot
| Ubermacht Oracle XS
| Canis Seminole
| BF Surfer
| Karin Dilettante
| COIL Voltic
|
In justifying these suggestions, I have attempted to put together some of the more popular choices aired by other people in addition to some of my own, with cars that will allow for good traffic flow and lappings to happen on the given track I have suggested for each class. At first I was thrilled by the idea of using the Manana as the GT3 car for Sports Classics, but the handling and length of the car might make lappings and battles quite awkward. So despite the Tornado being quite a bit slower, I think it might make for a better choice because of the handling model making the race experience as a whole more exciting. The Mamba and Z-Type I think despite price was good suggestions from Oh Darn, as the Z-Type in general is a popular car in Sports Classics when not counting the Stirling GT. And the Mamba is very new and fresh, and have a very interesting handling model as well. For Off-Roads I agree with Lucas that the Brawler is a great choice for a GT1 car, but I don't think the GT2 car should be as close on pace as the Bifta is, as the two are almost identical in pace around BC24h. Looking at other cars in the class that have the look of a proper off-road racer I think the Rebel is a clear choice, but might be better suited as a GT3 car considering the pace differences. And with the Bodhi almost dead in the middle of the two it makes an obvious GT choice to me. In the sports class, I think the V12 makes a great GT1 car. The Schwartzer race in GT2 was really exciting last season, and a V12 is basically a quick Schwartzer. The high top speed of the car also makes it easy to lap other GT's on the straights on the North Loop, which is a good thing for the race experience. Because lapping also happens outside of the straights however, I think its important especially on a track like NL thats is tighter in the twisty bits to have cars with a similar handling model in the other GT's. So basically cars that tend to oversteer a bit, and still dont have a much stronger acceleration then the V12. I think the combination with the Coquette and Fusilade here could lend itself to a few lapped cars during the race, which is important in MCEC and for good ability to pass these lapped cars cleanly. In the muscle car I thin its important to take advantage of some of the cars we have been introduced to over the last year. And also to scrap the Dominator as its a car being used overly much. Out of the options for GT1 cars the Blackfin and the Ruiner stand out as particularly good cars to battle with, but I think the speed of the Ruiner on this particular track is better for lapping traffic. The Tampa is a car I think many of us want included after its recent release, and to avoid dipping down into the extremely slow muscle cars we still have a nice gap to the Virgo which is located more in the middle of the class. Sedans, I agree that the Surge is a boring car for certain tracks. But I think LSGP is one of those tracks where it could be fun to drive still. The V12 armored would be an option for a GT1 car because of pace difference. But it would be weird with the V12 in sports as well, not to mention that we dont even know if it will still be in Sedans by the time MCEC3 launches as its obviously misclassed. Which is why I think it would be good to steer clear of the schafters in Sedans and go for one of the other top cars, such as the Intruder. And Ingot racing is also always brilliant, despite the car being slow. For coupes I think the Windsor is too expensive to be a GT3 car, GT3 should be expected to not be too expensive. The Oracle XS however is a brilliant car to race, and have similar pace. The Exemplar is an obvious GT1 choice because of Broughy's love for this particular car, and it's actually not because of his hate for the F620 I want to suggest that for GT2, but because of the Exemplar and Oracle XS. Both of these cars are stronger in terms of top speed compared to handling, and it would only make sense to take that into account when choosing the GT2 car. The F620 is dead in the middle in terms of pace, and is also stronger in top speed then handling. So we dont risk the scenario from last year where lapped cars keep unlapping themselves. The rest of my choices should be rather obvious based on the logic I've already presented, and the choices others have made as well. The only exception being the surfer which is far off the pace of GT1 and GT2. I know Lucas would love this, but theres also another reason. Which is that almost every single van below the Paradise in pace are stock versions. This means they take much more damage because you cant put armor on them, the only exception is the Surfer. I'd also like to see the Prairie and FQ2 return from last year, as I really enjoyed driving them.

If what fachuro says is true, the Bifta can be an option witrout spoiler for GT2. Then it would be even slower then the Brawler.

Keep in mind that you don't have to keep the cars after each race, or even buy them all at the start. If you have 2m saved up, you should be covered for the whole event even if you don't have any of the cars as you can sell the ones that are already used to refund some of the cost back into your "buy the next car" funds.
