2016 Grotti F1 World Championship - McKenzie Result

A new champion is crowned with arken at McKenzie Raceway

What a finale that was. It had every bit of drama you could wish for in a season finale where three drivers had the chance to win the title. In the end the clear winner was arken . With a third place finish he secured the title infront of _ShediM_ and ovivoJR . The winner of the race was arken his teammate and first time winner Madderose .
The start of the race was turbulent. Ganjalo starting in 6th position had a rocket launch of the starting line. He passed ovivoJR and arken and went into the first turn in 4th position behind his teammate _ShediM_ . The next turn arken tried to pass him on the inside but had to compomise his line. This allowed ovivoJR to go into 5th position. At the highspeed section prior to the jump in the Grape Seed area it came to a contact with meaningful consequences for arken and ovivoJR . The two cars went side by side into the fullspeed turn and had contact sending the Scuderia Grotti driver into the sky. After that incident arken and ovivoJR fell back to the positions 12 and 13. In this moment _ShediM_ had all jokers in his hand to win the championship. But arken didn´t give up his hopes. With a brillant drive he made it into 4th position after the 2nd pitperiod. At the moment when he also passed _ShediM_ his fans were sure that he would win the title. And so it came. For ovivoJR the race ended in a nightmare only finishing in 11th position and scoring 0 points.
Madderose and Superstepa_ had a close battle at front whit some position changes and a very close finish in the favor of first time winner Madderose . The Progen driver was very happy to finally secure his first win.
With the win of Progen and the thrid place of the new champion Progen also won the Team Championship infront of Benefactor Motorsports. The team of Superstepa_ and cloudmcshort managed to steal the 2nd team place from Dinka Motorsports with a 3 points difference.

3rd: ovivoJR - 98 pts

2016 Team Championship

1st: Progen Motorsports - 193 pts
2nd: Benefactor Motorsports - 129 pts
3rd: Dinka Motorsports - 126 pts

Thank you guys for this amazing season. The competition was so close over the whole season. We saw some top notch racing and a well deserved winner with arken. We have overcome all obstacles that were in our way and stood together when it was important. I had great battles and lots of fun during this season. Sure not everything always went the way you plan it out but in the end it counts that we all had a good time and enjoyed ourselves.
I also want to say a big thank you to Oh_Darn, .fiyah, cloudmcshort, endersai (CLOUD Sports) and Prutoog for helping me making this event what it has been. Another thumbs-up to all our diligent reserve drivers. Without you we wouldn´t have had a full starting grid for every race.
And last but not least I want to say that I am proud of everybody involved into this competition. We have managed to fullfill 2 complete seasons with 8 races over the cause of 3 months. This is a pretty big achievment. We reached out to a lot of new people and viewers in our streams and have become the third biggest event after MCEC and the daily playlist.
