Mirror Park Aeolian
Medium grid start, 10 cars, 1.56 miles. All classes except for vans. Defaults to 3 laps. This is the first track that I've published. It's a fast lap race around Mirror Park. I enjoy driving this track so I hope someone else will too. There are sections that are faster than they look and others that look a lot faster than they really are but once you have it down it's quite fun. There are turns of many types, easy wide turns, tight turns, a near 180, and a detour through a parking lot. There is a section where you can potentially face oncoming cars as you near the end of a lap but those cars would have to be 10 checkpoints behind to be a problem, just be mindful of the radar if you're way out in front or way behind. I'm planning a 7 race playlist and this is the first, and only, I've published so far. The other 6 are in the works. The name Aeolian comes from the 7 modes of music and the playlist I want to create will have tracks that share some similar characteristics from another track yet a few distinguishing characteristics at certain points that clearly set it apart from the rest. It's a silly thing I do with my programming and interface design patterns to use the modes of music as a guide to look for when and where to make a subtle or drastic change to something. It's nerdy, I know, but it works for me as I brainstorm a project. Hope you enjoy it! Any tips on how to make it better let me know. Thanks!

I'll give it a shot the next time I'm able to play.

Very nice track. The random cars in the parking lot can be a headache but everything else is well made. Good job

They didn't spawn in testing but I originally had a tire stack in the corner of the parking lot entrance to give a frame of reference as to where the edge of that wall is. I left the stack by the corner of the exit wall. Maybe if I put that tire stack back or cones in the parking spaces then the cars won't spawn. You're right that is a headache. I'll work on it. I'm glad you like it, you smoked me on it

I've had the same issue with cars spawning in bad locations. Hopefully they update the races, and make sure that no longer happens

What if you put down GTA props like the wrench in the parking stalls? I dont know if it would do anything in standard or GTA race, but it might be worth a shot.

I had already put a weapons prop there for the GTA races but that didn't seem to matter for the standard races. There's a line of cones across those spaces now which seem to stop the spawning on the right side of the parking lot but there still can be a car on the left in one spot that I have to find a way to solve but I'm pretty sure I can move the tire line marking the path through a little closer to stop that last spawn issue. Thanks for the idea, I'll see if tweaking the pickup locations helps, that would look much cleaner than these cones.

I'm worried that since the cones can be driven over and moved that the cars can still spawn eventually. I'll work on it and figure some way to stop it. I really like that section and I want to make it work.

I ran it today and had n o issues with cars spawning in. Like the track a lot even though I was the only one racing on it lol. I ended making another race after I ran it because it got me in the creative mood.

Randoms just leave as soon as they join, maybe I should rename it 'Jumps Jumps Jumps Gas Gas Gas Vroom'.

Personally I think that this track is good, but the point where you go through the Parking Lot being a bit narrow and I kinda missed where to go the first lap, it could perhaps be better indicated with a 3 point checkpoint though? with 3 >>>'s
If that is possible though

I'm trying to figure out how to get some checkpoints to point properly and the checkpoint in the parking lot was making the exit checkpoint point point unseeable. That's why i went with a tireline in there. The problem I'm having with checkpoints is that the angle of the arrow seems to depend on where the next and previous checkpoints are and not the angle I set on it, so on some of those sections the arrows are going every-which-a-way. So i'm trying to find where the best place is to drop checkpoints is or pull them out so the track is clearer. I was spectating you when you raced, I saw that tire stack cause a problem too.

Perhaps try a tireline angling in the parking lot giving a clear indication on where to go? A guideline~ Not sure if it'll work though but worth a try to see if that would work
