Chokesumi you're wrong. Your car is faster on straight and everything with more fps. You will win a dragrace in the same car over a guy with 60 fps, that has nothing to do with response time or whatever.
On the other side, I wouldn't play with 60fps on a 144Hz Monitor either. Last month I bought this Asus 144Hz 1440p G-Sync monitor from Amazon and it was pretty cool, but not worth 600€ for me. Maybe after I buy a new GTX1070 or 1080.

people with higher fps are always faster, despite running a god awful lap most of the world records on my tracks are held by 60 fps drivers (btw im not saying theyre the same or that one or the other is faster, im just saying the issue has been blown way out of proportion) wat kloden, Arifim uses 151 fps (locked) has 3.03 on spa, Sante (probably uses 144 fps or something) has 3.04 on Burgertown, Ari again has 150 fps, got a 2.37 on Circuit de Vespucci; i dont know what you are on about atm

I don't know, it's up to the event host, if he decides that it's okay then I'll accept that.

And heres my take on this situation with rockstar being complete imbesiles with their fps system. There is a huge benefit (imo) with having fps over 120;(this is from my pov after using 120+fps for a few laps on circuit de vespucci) its easier to be consistently fast and get consistent good lap times. I noticed that my car gained a lot more speed from curbs and bumps than what it usually does and accelerated way faster out of corners, but this is not necessarily positive as it makes you brake earlier when entering a corner. Is it a cheap way of winning? Yes and no. Is rockstars system retarded? Yes and yes. Should we stop talking about this? Yes.

Why should we stop talking about this? Fine, have your fps in hotlapping or fun races/playlists but when you're supposed to race in a competitive championship with points and stuff, just don't be a dick to others, simple as that. There's literally no way of getting 3-4 secs better laptime than someone who's using identical lines, doesn't choke and so on. All those "world records" are basically invalid, that's all. As long as 60 fps is a standard refresh rate, we should respect that.

kasumi my statement still stands for the FPS lock, 60-90fps is alright but not more than that. This might be enforced in future events as well. There's a reason Grotti F1 have that rule.

But I gave you an option to play at 60-90fps, I personally have it locked at 90fps and it's smooth to play at. It starts getting bad around 75-65 range.

I did a quick test to see for myself the difference in lap times for the GT3 Penumbra. With locked 90fps I got a consistent 4:08-4:10 lap time, but with an unlocked framerate and 130-160fps I got a 4:05.672 doing the same racing lines. That's a 3-5 second decrease in lap times with the Penumbra. Calling Dr. CHILLI

With G-Sync you can play on 60fps with the same "feeling" as 120fps+ on a normal monitor. Without G-Sync it's a different story.
But come on, who buys a gaming monitor without G-Sync/Freesync? They cost really the same.
