Redwood Racing to enter Pegassi Shootout, prepares for SATCC with Debonaire (6/15/2016) Redwood Racing announced earlier in the week that it would enter the upcoming Pegassi Shootout. The team was happy to announce once again they would have Stock Coupe Endurance Drivers' champion GooeyGoose behind the wheel for Redwood, with co-owner BIGGamerer also slated to drive in the upcoming one-off. Debonaire-Redwood driver Just Hero was selected (alongside a couple other drivers) for a special SATCC season 4 pre-season interview with Allen James from Cloud Sports. The full interview session can be seen here. Gamerer held a press conference to discuss the entry into the Pegassi Shootout, but mysteriously stormed off and refused to take any further questions after he was a made aware of the existence of the below seen photo shot by an unknown photographer: (Above) Could Gamerer end up in a ride for NOSCAR after all?The photo shows Gamerer taking practice laps on Senora Ring with what appears to be both Redwood and Xero Gas colors, leading some to speculate Gamerer may actually enter the NOSCAR event after all in a joint effort with his team Redwood and CHill 's Xero Gas racing team.

Gamerer struggles, Mich delivers in SATCC season opener(6/18/2016) After a set of two grueling half-hour races, Debonaire-Redwood emerged from the season opener with points on the board, thanks to two strong back-to-back performances from reserve driver michiski22. Debonaire-Redwood held a post-race press conference with team co-owner redlaserbm and reserve driver michiski22, where they were interviewed about their race performances. A transcript is given below: Mich, tell us about the drive in race 1, the attempt to catch Dnl_Jackson"I had a good start thanks to the great starting position, but a couple laps later I got pinged of the track at the beginning of the start finish straight and lost 10 positions there I think. The rain certainly made it interesting for me in the later stages, I don't know why but in the rain I'm faster than most other drivers. So that helped me catch up to Jackson. After it stopped raining I made a small mistake and wasn't able to catch back up to him." Gamerer, what happened there between you and Superstepa_ in Race 1?"It was a real unfortunate situation between the two of us there. I was trying to bring the car home for a top 10 points day, Stepa came around the bend there, I figured we got things sorted out single-file going into the jump, but all of a sudden this big lag spike popped up and then Stepa went flying off the jump into a tree. It's a shame, the lag killed both our races, I hate it for our Debonaire-Redwood racing team, I hate it for Mich, i hate it for Just Hero, and I really feel for the guys over at Pro-Laps since one of them took a Banshee up their ass and it didn't look right after the crash." (Above) Gamerer lag hits Stepa off the track after a brief lag spike, ending top 10 runs for both driversMich, the drive in race 2 was championship-caliber, tell us about it."In the second race eventhough I found myself in last place after the first couple corners, I had a lot of fun working my way back up through the pack up to eight place right at the finishline with a photofinish with Ganjalo." Gamerer, you had a good run in race 2 but you squandered it away on a couple of chokes, what can you take away from the race?"I think I can takeaway from it all the good start I had. Being careful on the first lap with some good wreck avoidance, I put myself in a good position to score. I gotta work on my pacing though, I think most of everyone was running anywhere from a half-second to two seconds faster per lap, scoring points is gonna be real hard with that type of pace. I was also a bit disappointed with my consistency, the chokes, the choke on pit road, the choke near the convenience store, the choke battling for 12th, they hurt. No, I mean they hurt, I mean holy shit I contacted a pole at full speed and you expect that to not hurt? (Above) Gamerer dodges a crash involving Benimi and endersaiLast question of the press conference, Gamerer, there's been quite a bit of controversy alraedy in the first two races, complaints of safety cars not being called, the whole Elegy debacle, passes being made in the grass, what is your whole take on this?"Buddy I got my own problems to worry about I brought four race-ready Banshees to this event, at least two of them need repairs, and one of them's going in the garbage after all the choking I did with it. I'll talk with you all later, go speculate over some more stupid shit like you all did with my racing team and NOSCAR. Someone get me a Redwood!"

Driver Drama dominates Redwood Racing Discussion(6/22/2016) Over the past few days Redwood has been impacted by numerous happenings throughout the racing community, placing team co-owner redlaserbm yet again at the center of attention. Following the conclusion of week 1 of SATCC, the announcement of the dropouts of 3 high-profile drivers, the merger between Bravado and FlyUS, and BG Motorsports entry into the event, Redwood fans were surprised to hear that the team had acquired reserve driver michiski22 for a full-time spot, as he was originally slated to drive races 3 and 4 for Redwood Debonaire. Surprise turned into anger and public outrage after it was revealed that the deal had been conducted without contacting either co-owner of the big tobacco racing team. Event organizer endersai met with team co-owners Just Hero and BIGGamerer and settled the dispute privately, not allowing the team to take back mich but assisting the team in a search for a reserve driver. ender also issued a public apology to series fans, saying he "dropped the ball" on the deal. Insiders expect Redwood Debonaire to soon make an announcement that criffin123 will assume the driver's seat for the upcoming week of races. Gamerer was reached for comment by phone on the matter and offered the following response: "It's been tough on the team morale, working with a veteran like that and suddenly he's off to another team. We've been dealt a bad hand, but we're gonna try and make the best of it, I got the guys preparing the custom fit seats for the driver we got slated to come in for us for week 2, I think we can still score some points, make things happen." On top of its partnership with rival cigarette monolith Debonaire, Redwood has now decided to team up with Xero Gas and provide sponsorship for BIGGamerer and Superstepa_ for the upcoming NOSCAR event. Rumors that there had been bad blood between the two following a race 1 crash in SATCC were quickly dispelled as the team held a public announcement on the one-race deal between the two drivers. Gamerer was quoted as saying the following: "Me and Stepa, we're gonna be a potent combination on the track come Saturday. It's gonna be a bit difficult for us after some of the other stuff this week passes by, Stepa's pulling triple duty over the first two days of the weekend, I got double duty to pull, but the testing sessions have gone well, the times we're hitting are about 8-tenths a second faster than what the NODO guys were hitting in the oval showcase in February, so the car's tuned up good, Redwood and Xero, they're both totally on board for this deal, hopefully we can bring home a win for those guys." Discussion surrounding Redwood's ventures into racecar sponsorship quickly shifted back to SATCC after the sanctioning body announced plans to revalue the balance of performance among cars after race 4 of the championship. Redwood Debonaire issued a public statement regarding the matter in response: "Redwood Debonaire has learned of the recent news from the FIA regarding the balance of performance among the different cars. RD urges FIA to stay neutral on the matter, NOT take any action to upgrade the engines of rival competitors. The Banshee is a balanced car with both its strengths and weaknesses, where the weaknesses simply have not been realized yet this season. We condemn the actions of our rival teams who have lobbied to FIA for this change, who are simply trying to gain an unfair advantage on the competition, and are plain flat out jealous they don't have good old Murican horsepower like this Banshee has. To encourage the FIA to make a fair, balanced decision on the matter, RD has opted to send the FIA a large bribe in exchange for a favorable ruling arranged for a huge-ass mob to protest outside the FIA headquarters should they make a decision that is not favorable to Redwood Debonaire unfair." In other news, Redwood successfully lobbied to have sponsorship on two cars for the upcoming X80 Proto showcase. No drivers have been contracted to drive for Redwood in this event as of yet, but RR promises to have an update as soon as news comes in regarding the event.

SATCC Week 2 a mixed bag for Redwood Debonaire Racing(6/26/2016) All in one week Redwood Debonaire experienced highs and lows in SATCC. On the upside, redlaserbm had a stellar drive in race 3, passing 14 cars en route to a 9th place finish. On the downside, both drivers struggled in race 4, with Just Hero catching bad breaks after showing promising speed in practice sessions. Both drivers arranged for a press conference following the conclusion of race 4 of SATCC. The transcript follows below: HeroGut tell us about the drive in both races."In the race at Sandy Shores I had a good start, due to my poll position. I stayed near the front of the pack for the first 1/3 of the race, before my inconsistency stepped in. After a few incidences including a missed checkpoint, I couldn't manage to score any points. A real shame despite my starting position. Union Grain went just as bad. A safety car after the second corner lost me the banshee's advantage, and after that, incidents of both others and my own fault caused me to fall further into the pack. What really hurt though was near the end of the race, I was lapped by the leader and a safety car was called almost immediately. This meant I had to wait for the everyone just in front of me to come around the whole lap and join the back of the grid, so I was left with a lap to catch up, which was never going to happen. The race ended swiftly after the safety car and left me in 21th position with no way of fighting back." Gamerer, you struggled in week 1, came back strong in race 3, but imploded in race 4. Is this week a victory or a loss for the team?"If you look at it from my side of the team, I think it's a win. We took a deep starting spot and turned it into a top-10 finish, which is huge. Parson's Loop we were moving backwards through the field, but the guys in the R&D shop, this SSGP plays well with the Banshee, we took it inside the wind tunnel a couple more times than usual to get it prepped up for this race, it paid off, we ended up moving forwards through the field. Union Grain was a bust, that's on me, that's my fault, almost had half the field passed on a restart but I accidentally rammed Tonyborbony up the ass. Then the car went and did a mechanical failure near the end. Thankfully with this points system really bad scores the same amount of points as bad so I can't be too mad about it. Things were a bit different with Just Hero , things didn't look that promising for him on SSGP but we were hyped about the times he was hitting on Union Grain, it's a shame he caught all those bad breaks, shame that we missed some opportunities to nab points." Gamerer, there was a bit of controversy about the "mechanical failure" in race 4. There's been recent talks about the FIA balance of performance revaluing. Did you sandbag to try and get the FIA to not upgrade rival teams' specs?"Who the fuck asks these questions? You're full of shit. Security! Get this guy out my press conference." Gamerer, but people were wonde-"I made it very clear I didn't want any Keemstar wannabes in my damned press conference. The sign at the front said no drama-stirrers. Get outta here, your kind isn't appreciated around here. Actually? Screw this. I ain't having a press conference if the reporters ain't gonna do their damned job of reporting. I got better things to do we tore up another set of good Bravado Banshees I gotta go back and fix em all up." In other news, Redwood achieved mixed results in the NOSCAR and Grotti X80 showcase events. Gamerer declined to comment on the events. Also, Redwood Racing will enter the upcoming Xero Gas 100. BIGGamerer will be back in the drivers seat, but he has yet to pick his teammate. Insiders believe either Prutoog or FriendlyBaron will hop on as his teammate.

Gamerer, Pru, reunite for Broughcar (7/2/2016) The same tag-team duo which won the Redwood Cup in dominating fashion has decided to team up again for the upcoming Xero Gas 100. redlaserbm and Prutoog formally announced the news in a press conference today, which they held at Gamerer's Xero Speedway facility, where both drivers took autographs, and Gamerer eventually got pissed off the reporters when they started asking shitty questions and shooed them away. Some have penned down Gamerer and Pru as the favorites for the race, despite past struggles from both drivers. In fact, neither driver has scored a podium for the team since the Redwood Cup. Some critics have scrutinized the choice not to re-sign FriendlyBaron from NOSCAR, who now has a deal with Merryweather Racing for the upcoming event. Gamerer assured, however, during the press conference his team would be the team to beat in the race: "I know we struggled a bit in NOSCAR, but we're going back to a track we've had success at, the team atmosphere we have for this race, it's more the same atmosphere we had when we were prepping the cars back for the Redwood Cup, we'll bring some good equipment to the race on race-day, hopefully RNGsus shines his light my way with the random grid."

Anger, Frustration in Redwood Debonaire garage after disappointing outing in SATCC Week 3 (7/9/2016) After strong runs from michiski22 in week 1 and redlaserbm in week 2, Redwood Debonaire took a step backwards, failing to score any points in either of two races. Gamerer tested new car technology in race 5, but ended up being considerably off-pace, also tangling with Daleks (@darkalex45) numerous times. Just Hero's equipment failed before the start of the race ever happened. In race 6, starting from midfield, he worked his way up to outside the top 5 early before issues set him outside of the points. Gamerer's effort in race 6 was better but also fruitless, moving from almost last to 8th at early on before fading outside of the points after poor pit strategy. The atmosphere during the team's post-race press conference was tense, as co-owner BIGGamerer forgot to bring his usual pack of Redwoods to chain-smoke in front of the reporters, and driver Just Hero could not be reached for comment, apparently storming off claiming business to be done regarding the upcoming Slow Sedan Championship. A transcript of the conference follows below: Gamerer, a lot of people were wondering about the incident between you and-"No, I did not intentionally ram Oh_Darn, it's an accident, the gang of SecuroServ thugs that surrounded my car after race 5 didn't think that was the case and now my beautiful Bravado Banshee is a pile of rubbish I gotta throw in the trash can, but thank you for asking." Obviously we don't have HeroGut able to speak here, but there's been talks that Redwood and Debonaire haven't been able to get along for SATCC, what do you have to say about that?"I assure you the relationship is great, obviously it's a little weird having this team propped up when I and Hero got our separate ways going for other big events, the main purpose of this sponsorship was to achieve a common goal, that common deal doesn't mean I have to smoke Hero's Debonaire sticks though." Well, we've heard complaints from some of the crew members in the garage that the effort your putting into the team is half-assed, that the staff are underpaid, their checks are being withheld, and yet, you have a lot of funds going into Redwood's cars for [Broughcar] "That was probably that one jerk-off who was with us I caught smoking a Debonaire slacking off on the job. It's bullshit. It's bullshit, cuz you guys week in and week out go harass me with lies about my team when I perform like shit on the race track, and then the higher-up guys giving us the sponsorship money to build the cars for this series say I can't start shit about you guys because I might trigger someone and they don't want a bad rep around their name. Talk about a double standard." What direction does the team need to head in to get back on track for week 4? "Y'know a good direction for me to take is one out this press conference so I don't have to talk with you bozos anymore. Y'all best be glad I made sure the SecuroServ thugs got the wrong address to this place. Oh boy those kids were pissed after this week, them cats said they were gonna go shoot up the next press conference I show up to, wait until the looks on their faces when they show up to the wrong venue and--" *Loud thud noise* "Shit."

Red-Deb SATCC struggle continues, team morale low(7/16/2016) Drivers BIGGamerer and Just Hero met behind closed doors after a bad week 3, promising to themselves and their mechanics that they would not have such a bad week again. Yet Redwood Debonaire struggled once again in week 4. Driver Just Hero struggled to find momentum to be competitive in both races. redlaserbm for a second consecutive time weaved his way through the field to go from the back to as high up as 4th in Zancudochamps before fading out of the points from a lack of pace. Hopes that Gamerer could replicate his SSGP result in Montreal were smashed when he had a mechanical failure early in the race. The week was an exclamation point what has now been a 5-race slump for the team, which has scored no points over said stretch and DNF'd more times than finished. Again, HeroGut was seen leaving the racing facility immediately following the conclusion of Montreal, escaping before reporters could flood him with questions about the race weekend, leaving Gamerer to tackle the press by himself again. "Things have taken a turn for the worse, obviously this racing stuff, it's an up and down process, and right now it's more down than up. We've already exceeded our goals for this season, but it's a punch in the throat when we have that success early and it starts going away in the mid season," Gamerer commented. "We're running a bit low on funds, the SecuroServ incident last week was hard on the budget, but we're doing something pretty cool for the fans with the merchandise for the next few weeks to raise some money, we're gonna get my face slapped on Redwood cartons and Hero's on the Debs, have a little sweepstakes, winner gets a ride with their Red-Deb driver of choice, give the fans a chance to meet their favorite drivers. It's hard times on the team but I know my guys, they're sticking with us from start to finish, they have confidence in backing us, we'll get back to good finishes soon. There's gonna be another closed door meeting, some restructuring will happen, we're looking to the future here." Gamerer did not disclose any further details about the upcoming closed-door meeting. Reporters were able to interview anonymously with one of the team's mechanics afterwards, who was unhappy working for the team. "Yeah, Gamerer? The dude's shit" one of the team's mechanics said. "The guy drives his ass dizzy in circles one time and gets lucky enough to be first and suddenly the sponsors are all hyping him up about being [Redwood Debonaire's] number one driver when we get to actual circuit racing and the guy has to use proper skill. He isn't number one worth of shit. We give him top notch equipment and he comes back with it torn up and finishing behind the number twos. And half the time he's all flaunting his sponsor around, how great big tobacco is instead of trying to bring them home results. His attitude sucks, he's supposed to represent the team and every time I go watch the post-race press conference he's telling off the reporters and blowing Redwood chain smoke in their face. Nobody wants to see that, he's a terrible role model for the fans. And then I wonder where the hell that Hero guy is when we need him, at least he maintains composure during those stupid things, but then suddenly it's like last two weeks, his ass is gone once the races are over, doesn't even want to speak to the press, he just goes home probably crying some sob story about he can't score a point. Just say it already, guys, this team freaking sucks." "Trust me, we're ready to fight back, the team has no quit, they got our backs." Gamerer reaffirmed.

Redwood Racing back to form in Broughcar, grabs 8th win (7/17/2016) Redwood Racing visited victory lane for the 8th time in team history, following a strong performance from team co-owner redlaserbm in the Xero Gas 100. Gamerer had struggled in previous starts following his sweep in the Redwood Cup in March but returned to form in his return to Xero Speedway, taking the lead early, setting a blistering pace, and never looking back. The victory marked his 4th ever (non-playlist) win in NODO, and his 3rd win with Redwood Racing, all three coming on ovals. The team also celebrated a strong second place effort in the points, as the 1st and 9th place finishes from BIGGamerer and Prutoog were enough to claim second from fab. ICEMAN and metoxys of El Banco Corrupto Grande Racing Team, but not enough for the team win against Team Princess Minty Bubblegum and their drivers Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977) and Benimi . "Mad props to the whole Redwood Racing team and all the work they put into making sure we fielded two competitive racecars for today. We unrolled from the garage with the setups from [the Broughcar Redwood Cup] but the track changed quite a bit, I don't think anyone was expecting the track to be as bumpy as it was when we got there, we had to the change the setup on the car a bit along with it. But something clicked, we were hitting times no one really thought were possible, we went in there once again and proved ourselves to the top dogs," Gamerer commented from victory lane. "This is great for the race team, we've been feeling kinda down from the whole SATCC joint effort with Debonaire, that hasn't gone too well, hopefully this victory, the team finish, that'll put some life into the team, we'll need it going into the future."

Red Deb without star drivers for SATCC Week 5 (7/27/2016) Following a press conference held by the team, co-owner redlaserbm announced he and teammate Just Hero would be unable to make both races in week 5 of SATCC. "Obviously we want to be in the driver's seat every day on race day but sometimes it can't happen like that, hopefully the fans ain't too pissed about it," Gamerer commented. The team hired well-known long-time pit-watcher .fiyah and former console peasant mountainged to take their places for week 5. Critics immediately speculated that the reserves were being appointed not because of logistical issues with the team's main drivers but because of growing tensions in the garage between the drivers and mechanics. Said critics were immediately thrown out of the press conference with no questions asked so that Gamerer could keep chain-smoking his Redwoods in peace without any of that shitty gossip talk getting in his way. Co-owner Gamerer hopes the week goes well for the team, but didn't keep his hopes up for anything special: "I don't know man, we've torn a lot of shit up, the Bravado guys say they're gonna take away our team discount on the chassis if we keep tearing them up, and honestly we got enough budget woes as it stands right now." For Gamerer and HeroGut, the season has been a trying one. At the mid-season break, Gamerer sits 16th in the driver standings while Hero is one of 10 drivers yet to score points in the season. The team sits near the bottom in the team standings (12th of 14 teams), with most of the points coming not from either main driver but reserve driver michiski22 , who now drives for BG motorsports.

Red Deb back on track in SATCC, scores points in 4 straight races (8/6/2016) After a string of 5 straight races of failing to score points, Redwood Debonaire has rebounded, scoring at least one point in the last 4 races. The streak represents a return to form and return to the standards the team had set early on in the season. Last week, reserve driver mountainged pulled through for the team to score 3 points. This week, Just Hero scored his first point of the season in race 11 while redlaserbm put up 2 more points for the team in race 12. The atmosphere was considerably brighter than usual for the team's post-race conference. A transcript follows below: Hero, this is your first time scoring points this season. Many race fans doubted this could ever happen at any point this season, what kind of message do your results from this week send to those race fans?"I say to those fans: Well done. I expect nothing less from the level-headed people who smoke my cigarettes, as they were right not to expect much from me. But in the end, I did exceed expectations. I'm delighted about my result at the sandy extension and I hope I can use a top 12 start at Monza well." Hero, how do you build off of this small "victory" of sorts and try to score more points in the last couple of weeks?"I want to ideally keep my top 12 position until Del Perro GP, where I could really use extra help at the start in defending on the tight track. As for the secondary races, I feel confident about Alamo Marina GP as I have had a lot of practice around there. On the Yarn will be difficult for us in the ol' Banshee, but we have to try out best." For both drivers: The season is winding down, and despite loads of sponsorship money poured in from both sides, it seems the collaborative effort between Redwood and Debonaire, despite the successes of this week, has been largely a failure. What do you have to say about this?Hero: "This is true. The partnership was a long shot from the get-go, and there were many team issues and motivation problems both in the drivers and the crew throughout the season. This week may have given the Debonaire team a morale boost, but it's has been a rough experience for the teams. But I think if anything, we've generated a large amount of publicity with this alliance of-sorts. At the end of the day, it's all about the business!" Gamerer: "Depends on how you define failure. I mean, this effort, y'know, you got two hotshot drivers that started their race teams, had early success, they're coming together, and we got both drivers scoring points, I mean I've scored a lot more points than I scored last season, we got Hero on the scoreboard, people said he couldn't do it. We kind of knew from the start this race team probably wasn't gonna compete for the championship, but man, the sponsors are happy again, we got momentum, at the end of the season, once it's all said and done, we can look back at this and say we got something done." "Oh, also, Daleks (@darkalex45) you're f*cking paying for all the damage you did to my race cars after last week's races! Okay, we spend weeks putting that shit together and you take your stupid ass Riot truck, and go ram the hell out of my vehicle, after I already have to deal with budget woes from past weeks, and run off like it's no issue, huh? You screwed up my vehicles, the next time I go drive into a Beeker's Garage I better get 5 star quality service or your garage is getting rammed by a riot truck of my own!"-END TRANSCRIPT- In the points, Redwood Debonaire continues to linger towards the bottom (11th of 13 teams) but at least holds a respectable showing of numerous finishes in the points. Gamerer is now tied for 15th in the drivers' standings with Bezerka3 while Just Hero sits 18th, joining the list of now 18 regulars that have scored points this season.

Redwood preps for I6 Supercars, Broughcar (8/23/2016) Redwood Racing held a press conference today with team owner BIGGamerer to announce the team's intent to enter in two events in early September, the I6 Supercar Yellow Jack Sprint hosted by Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977) and the Lifeinvader 120 hosted by sanctioning body Broughcar. Gamerer is slated for a seat in I6 but has yet to find a teammate. Meanwhile, for Broughcar, Gamerer has recruited fellow co-owner and Redwood Cup team champion Prutoog alongside SCE1 team champion and Le Mans S2 LMP1 Semi-Pro champion Divait . Gamerer will go into both the events with different hopes and expectations about the results: "I6 is gonna be about a couple of different things, it's a popular track with the Grotti F1 guys, it might just pop up again in season 3 if ovivoJR is up for hosting it, getting track time on it is important, the track is hard as hell to drive, there's a lot of little things to pick up about it, also the Sultan RS, gotta wipe the dust off that car, it's a decent car, we might use it in Broughcar again, gotta make sure I ain't rusty driving it. I'd like to be able to get a rookie in the car as a teammate too, give them some drive time and experience. Now, Broughcar's gonna be about trying to get cars running up near the front again and adapting well to a not very well understood environment. The whole oval racing thing, every time we do it, there's new territory we're treading, a lot of unknowns, no one's ever really raced a super fast oval like this one, the facility is brand spanking new, I hear Lifeinvader cut a pretty sweet deal with a couple thousand of their customers and kidnapped them using their home address info they provided to the site invited them to the "stalker" section off the corner exit of the last turn, it's gonna be a unique racing experience. I'm hyped to get some proven winners back in the seat again because the cars here are pretty tough to drive and we need all we can get going up against the Bubblegum team."
